I am interested in the quality of the recordings that everyone is making. I understand that internet radio cannot be absolutely perfect, crystal clear audio, I'm not asking for that. But how are the quality of everyone's recordings? Mine are not sounding good at all recently. I am terrible with audio stuff in any capacity, but when I burn concerts to CDs, the recordings are murky and have a hiss that is annoying. I'm experimenting with GoldWave, Audacity,etc...especially GoldWave, but like I said, I'm bad with audio, probably because I don't understand it very well. Any general tips that anyone has for the recording and especially editing process would be very much appreciated. I'd just like a decent quality CD. Thank You.

Dave,
What are you using to record with? Also, when you save as an MP3 you compress the sound a bit. (so much for that crap that the record companys have been feeding us about why downloading MP3's are different than useing tape!)
Most of mine sound fine on the PC, but when I burn them they get a bit murky on the high end home unit or car. I have been tweeking the recording level with some sucess, and RM seams to put out 1 channel stronger than the other.

Replay Radio
Dave:
I use Replay Radio (see my separate posting) and am getting GREAT results, but only using MP3. I had awful results using WAV files. The sound quality I am getting is EXCELLENT.
I use MP3 Magic to edit (only $10), then Roxio EasyCDCreator 5.0 to burn.
