Oh yeah, I agree with that too. Put in Life is Just a Tire Swing instead if he wants to play an old country-sounding song...

I think this is the best concert song that he plays cause everybody goes nuts for it.

Parrotme---Why would you want to retire wdwgdas????? I don't know if you've been to the show yet this year but its still good in concert. The video with it was funny and the karaoke style was entertaining.

i think he should do some of the songs that he rarely does in concert just to change the set list and make it a little less predictable

'm willing to bet after the reaction jimmy got to ending in pitt with apl@40 that he'll end with it tonight. I was there both nights and it sure blew slow boat to china out of the water as the last song.

I was also at the Pittsburgh concert, the best ending I have ever saw at one of Jimmy's concert was ending with Pirate look at 40. Hopefully we will be in for the same treat tonight

really hope he keeps ending with APL@40 too. It's such a great closing song...much better than Slow Boat. The only thing I'm wondering is if he'll throw in Tin Cup Chalice somewhere this year since he did it in rehearsals and hasn't played it yet...

Is it just me or does anyone else find "Salt-Salt-Salt" most irritating during this song?

I got 2 tickets together for the Thursday show in Camden the night before the show tru TM. They were about 25 rows from the stage in section 101,and there were empty seats next to us. I guess some corporate types turned theirs in at the last minute

Its just you 2fla. Heres a question. When did the salt salt salt start? A group of us used to do that before i remember it being a main part of the song?

think the reason the first set seems short is b/c he is hopefully saving apl@40 for 2nd emcore and had to move it from the first set and didnt replace it w/ slow boat which was the 2nd encore

Give me a break "Gumbo"!!! Slow Boat is a much more welcome song to end the set with.

fins2theleft: (I hope I spelled that right)

It seems like every year he comes up with some skit to go along with it, like he is embarrassed to do it himself. Let it go and I'm sure he has a better song to put in its place that he would like playing.

I don't know about you, but I still go to Buffett shows to see the greatest performer still performing my favorite songs after all this time

finz: maybe he heard you guys and decided to incorporate it......I just think it changes the ambiance of the song...don't know exactly when it started but I know I've been hearing it for at least the last 4 or 5 years.

But he took out Take Another Road(no complaints here) and didn't replace it in the first set... Perfect time for I Will Play For Gumbo...
