Bart: I think (dang, I hope I don't get beat up if I'm wrong!) that Club Trini plays inside the venue not in the parking lot. I heard that they play and hour & 1/2 before showtime. (We were having WAY too much fun in the lot to go in early at StarLake, so I can't confrim that!) Does that help?? ^^'s up!

Jimmy's show last night was Great!! I will admit that it was a little slower paced than some in the past, or maybe it was just me. No the Hemisphere Dancer was not there at least no one in the group saw it. I wish Jimmy would do a concert, or make a new cut with a lot of the really oldies such as Whos' Gonna Steal the Peanut Butter, Grapefruit Juicy Fruit, The Great Filling Station Hold Up, African Friend etc. etc.. I was glad to hear Pencil Thin Mustache make a come back, then again at my age I relate to this time frame. Whatever Jimmy does is Fantastic
even if I personally do not particulary care for one or two of his songs there is always the rest of them that I cherish. Lets just all be greatful
for what we can get, when we can get it,where ever we can get it, and hope we can all get it for a long time to come. I am sure Jimmy will retire some day but I hope the Music lives forever. Can't you just picture all of us Parrot Heads in the Nursing Homes??

Hello Parrothead fanatics. I love Jimmy like a father. I admit after almost 18 shows, I have become spoiled, wanting to hear this and that, thinking why with all of his great songs would he play that one and so on. Folks, I am here to say, that it is all inconsequential when you get right down to it. Jimmy Buffett and his concerts are more than just hearing your favorite songs year in and year out. It is a gathering of fun loving party people who have been blessed over the years by his longevity and his love for us, the listening Parrothead audience. For me it is a chance to come home to Wisconsin each year from California to take my Dad to a show at Alpine Valley as a Father's Day gift. An event he and I look forward to every year. This year he will be at his 9th show. And he is proud of that. Not bad for a 62 year old man. Going to show you that Jimmy can get through to people of any age with his music. It will truly be a sad day when Jimmy doesn't hit the stage again. All I know is I am enjoying every show I get to see of his, and they keep getting better over the years. I hope God continues to bless Jimmy with good health and a passion to continue to do what he does best. Throw the summers greatest party, and touch our lives in many ways with all of his magical music. Fins up.......... I would still love to hear "The Captain and the Kid" and "He Went to Paris" live. It will happen someday.

The concert was great as always. Buffett seemed to really be enjoying himself. Question: Did anyone notice fights breaking out in the parking lot? Parrotheads are the coolest fans in the world. I've been to a whole lot of concerts and never seen this. It mostly looked like stupid kids, every bit of 15 years old. One drunk idiot even got up and started waving a gun. This didn't happen on Saturday. It was the same easy going crowd I remember.

There were plenty of "youngsters" there on Thursday definitely acting like "fools". Did anybody happen to see the kid that said he was 13 funneling beers?!?!?!?!?!?
As for the concert...it definitely lived up to the expectations I had. After being a Parrothead for 16 years I can say I've NEVER been disappointed!!!!

All I know is that I admire those dancers working as hard as they did despite how hot and muggy it was. You knew it was bad when Jimmy kept mentioning it.
While the show was a bit slower paced than others I have seen (it was my 10th show), it was terrific. By the way, because of idiot kids who come just to get drunk, I have stopped doing the parking lot thing before hand. It is getting less creative and more "sloppy drunk"

Went to Mac's show at the Variety playhouse on Friday in Atalnta - fabulous! Fingers was there and did an exellent job, but looked p*** off despite singing a song that referenced JB nicely. Peter Mayer showed up and stayed after for a bit chatting with fans and giving autographs and posing for pictures. Never realized how absolutely talented Pater and Mac are on the guitar. Got Mac's autog. on his new CD. Fingers announced to the crowd that such-&-such was still needed for a lift to the airport Sat. morning, and he got out of Dodge ASAP.
Jimmy's Saturday show was good, but not much different from Nissan's. No Hemisphere dancer - luckily we caught it in San Diego. Clint Black showed and I am beginning to warm up to him as a Coral Reefer stand-in. The real treat was to have Mac show up on his birthday no less! He played one song with the band and then JB let him solo "Looking Back" off his new CD! It was so good to see Mac up there, now if only Fingers would return!
The parking lot scene in Atlanta is intense - they begin at 10:00! Saw some creative displays and no fights. However, those beach ball volleys were vicious - totally distracting when the show began. Even JB noted it by saying the Coral Reefers could represent the U.S. as the volleyball team in next Olympics. Personally, my husband and I felt JB wasn't as into the crowd or smiling as much as when we saw him in San Diego and Nissan. Something displeased Charleston at the end of the show and I think he nabbed the idiot that threw something at JB when he was leaving the stage. We saw Charleston outside with some other security & he wasn't happy, although he said hello back when I called out to him. Can't wait for our final show at Merriweather on Thursday - hoping the set list is varied a bit, but even if it isn't, JB puts on quite a show!
