Just got home from Polaris, and another great show and crowd! He really is mixing it up this year, great to hear some of these songs live!

Polaris is OK, but for those who have been to "Legend Valley" (Buckeye Lake), there is no better place to see Buffett!!! Biggest and best party of the year. No rules, just Buffett all day! Buckeye Lake is about 30 minutes east of Columbus, and is home of a Buffett hangout called Papa Boo's. The stage was in the middle of a field at the bottom of a hill, it is now part of a housing development and every once in a while a small show will play there, but not very often. Unfortunately, I don't think we will ever see Buffett there again.

Great place with great memories!

Fins up!

What can I say, Jimmy did it again. The man entertained me for almost three hours with great music.
I must confess the best part of the show was after intermission. Always wanted to hear "That's what Living is to Me" and "Tryin to Reason."
And my dream came true!!
Also loved "If it all Falls Down."
Thankyou Jimmy and thanks for a good 3 hours.
See you Parrotheads in Cincy!!

I just got back from the Columbus show. Polaris is a nice set up. I really liked the way the parking lots were and the way the plazas were set up inside. both my wife and myself rate it as better than Starlake in that aspect. However there was very little tailgating compared to the Pittsburgh shows. It's my understanding that they cracked down on this the last couple of years.
we caught Club Trini at the main gate and they were awesome. They were also kind enough to stick around and talk/sign autographs.
Now for the main event...
Jimmy was excellent! The set list was varied from the Pittsburgh shows with a few different songs
thrown in. I hope he keeps it up for a while longer.
All in all it was a great time. It was cool to see Jimmy at a different venue than Starlake.

Phins up to the Ohio Parrotheads that we got to meet and to the Parrotheads at the Comfort Inn.

Got home today from the concert. I agree with all the above in the song selections. First tine on the lawn for me and had a great time dancing with my husband to "Trying to reason....." and all the other ballads. I did hear Jimmy say at the end "Hope to see all of you next year". From what I'm hearing, this may be the first time he has said this? Anyway, maybe this bit of news will make your day. Fins Up!!!!!!!!!

Don't forget, during the latter verse of OPH, Jimmy sang:

Where I see the day
when my hair's full grey
and I finally disappear.
BUT NOT YET!!

Does this mean a 2001 Tour, or just more 2000 dates?

It is doubtful that you will ever see JB at Buckeye Lake again. Many, many problems with the gig out there. Polaris lured him and lets face it , money talks and, well you know the rest. Glad to hear all you phans liked the Columbus show. Yeah, not much tailgating at Polaris-other shows ruined that for all of us. Some of the hotels even frown on booking rooms for concerts due to vandalism and damage. Polaris is really in Westerville and they just don't get the madness that goes along with JB's shows. Fins up to all!

Some random thoughts on the Columbus show -
* The first half seemed a little disjointed, but
it was good to hear Jimmy sing some of the songs
he doesn't normally do.
* The second half flowed better, and again, more
songs that are good to hear.
* No Clint Balck - That's OK
* No Fingers Taylor - That's too bad, but cest' la
vie
* Deke's red Jeep with the shark on top was
awesome.
* Who stole my Key West Police Dept. NO PARKING
sign from the windshield of Deke's Jeep?
* Who was the lamebrain woman on the lawn who was
trying to talk on a cell phone while also taking
part in a conga line? Hey honey, put down the damn
phone and enjoy yourself. Or stay home and talk to
your friends.
* The folks at Deer Creek could learn a lot by
watching how the people at Polaris handle traffic
after the show. There are actually people
directing cars, vans and yes, Jeeps, out in an
orderly manner. They know how to do it right - no
waiting an hour or more to get to
