i'm trying to copy some concert cd's. i've never had this happen before but it has a 2 second cut out before every song. i thought i had it figured out but i don't ,this is soooo frustrating.
i am using roxio easy cd creator 2. if anyone could me with the settings to let me record seamlessly please let me know asap.
i don't know that much about this so talk to me like a 5 yr old.

Just for clarification, is it that there is a gap between songs but no music actually lost (so that you can tell that it is going to the next track) or is the music literally being lost (so that a song starts at 2 seconds or a 4 minute songs ends at 3:58)?
I have iTunes, so it might be slightly different, but if it's the former problem, go under options, and look for something relating to burning. Perhaps in there should be an option for gap between songs. Make sure that is set to "0" or none.

there is actually speech or music that is lost.
i did look for a "buffer" and settings. there is no "set time" amount. there is a buffer underrun which i thought would do the trick. it didn't seem to.
i also recorded at a mode that is called disc at once mode which it says is suppose to get rid of "gaps"....

But I used to have Roxio and Toast. Both of them had settings for the gap space in between tracks. I believe the default was 2 seconds. You just have to look harder for it.
Buffer underrun definitely has nothing to do with it.
not sure about roxio but in nero there is a 2 second default space. if you look at the properties of each tack it should show up there somewhere also the is a check box which says "no pause between tracks" look for that and make sure it is set correctly.

I'm not sure if someone covered this already, but maybe the songs you are trying to burn onto a cd already have 2 seconds of silence at the end of them. In other words, it's not the burning process that's creating the gap. Did you check that?
yeah, i did check it. most of them do and i already knew that. However, there are some that don't.
i burned a new cd with the box checked to take out the delay. i listened to the new copy and the songs that should not have had a delay DID...!@#*
i swear i checked the box but the only thing i can think of is some operator error on my part. oh well, what's a gal to do!
thanks everybody
