Hmmmm, you guys do it backwards from the other places I frequent It's my responsibility to give the person sending to me the address to send to. Maybe this is why BN vines are so slow and so many tend to wither and die.

To answer your question, which I think you may have mis-worded, of course it's your responsibility to give your address to the person sending it to you. Who's else would it be?

To answer what you might have meant, questioning if it's your responsibility to contact the next person in line like I said above, yes, that's true too. Normally when I hear that the cd's are on the way to me, I contact the next person for their address so I can send them out right away. Apparantly you hadn't done that yet.

It's up to everyone on the vines to do their part, and communicate with the people before and after them on the vine, as well as updating the thread with their actions.

I know of one other trading site, and it seems much the same to me.

"Is that all there is to it? No. After you receive the show you must burn or rip a copy for yourself to your pc or to disc. You then mail the MASTER COPY off to the next person on the list. After you have shipped the show out, your part in the vine is done. You are responsible for getting the contact information from the person who is next on the list."

"Keep an eye on the vine and when you see that it is getting
close to you (a few names away) send a message to the
person above you with your mailing info.
It is also a good idea to contact the person that you will be
sending to if you have not heard from them yet.

Please do not wait until the cd's are in your possession to
start contacting the next in line as this will slow things
down."

According to that last line from another place you frequent, it's actions similar to yours on this vine that contribute to slowing things down.

If neither of the above are what you meant, I don't know how to answer. It's too bad that you can hardly post on BN without feeling compelled to throw digs our way.
