My other thread about "Favorite Pizza" caused a little debate about "proper" Austrailian beers......

Makes me wonder what is your favorite foreign beer?????

I've come to like Carib, a lager brewed in the Caribbean (imagine that!), when chartering sailboats in the BVI. Maybe it's just because anything cold tastes good in the tropics!!!

Also, I favor the English-brewed John Courage ale, too.

I like Carib. Red Stripe and Caribe are cheap in Anguilla (the ONLY things that are cheap in Anguilla...

I have had a few of Sarnacs varieties. The ones i had were OK, but underwhelming.
I like the Black Forest the best IIRC. The Pale Ale's OK too.

I like microbrews and try as many as varieties as I can. Currently I have this fascination with Redhook Longhammer IPAs.

Life is too short to drink cheap beer, unless there is nothing else good to drink...

Longhammer is a good beer, we had it on at my bar for awhile.

Seattle, north of downtown.

we can get Ballard Bitter/Redhook products in OH. Haven't looked for this one tho.

They also brew it in Portsmouth, NH and it is available nationally but it's easier to find locally.

Used to go to a bar that made Black and Tans with Guiness and John Courage.....I could go for one of those right about now

Sorry I missed your early post on Newcastle. It's excellent on tap, but difficult to find in my part of the world. Usually just have to be content with cases of glass bottles instead.....
