This is probably one of the easiest recipes ever, but it's delicious, and you can handle cooking it, even if you've had 1.............or 2 too many margaritas.
What you will need:
- 1-2 lbs. of peeled, deveined shrimp(spend the extra money to have this done -you'll thank yourself later) - or more depending on how many people you have.
- container of squeeze butter
- jar of minced garlic(not dried)
- disposable plastic storage containers (take alongs)
- bamboo skewers
What you do:
-Separate shrimp evenly among the plastic containers - make sure they are washed and clean, and be sure to leave the containers about half empty(or full depending on how you look at the world).
- Squeeze ample amounts of butter onto shrimp(depending on how much you like)
- Spoon as much of the minced garlic on to shrimp as you choose.
- Use your hands to mix everything up in the containers, and refrigerate overnight. note: using your hands will mix it all up more evenly
When it's time to cook them, just open the containers, put the shrimp on the skewers, and grill for about 3-4 minutes on medium heat flipping once. The shrimp are done when they turn "white" , and become very firm. When you're done, just toss the containers and used skewers - no muss, no fuss.
Note: The garlic will smell very strong when putting this "marinade" together, and when you open the container before cooking, but it will smooth out very nicely while cooking, and will be very tasty. We've used this at several shows and it was always a hit with our "neighbors".
Enjoy!!!!!
