Very nice! Thanks! I've already downloaded and converted all 3 for my iPod Video. Damb! I am REALLY kicking myself for not having gone down there Wednesday afternoon!

I have always like Don't Stop The Carnival. I would have loved to see that musical.

Gotta love how JB had to take off his shoes before his performance. I guess it helps get into his "shameless performer" mode. I liked how he did the songs as a medley.

I didn't notice any senior moments. Do you suppose he listened to the CD before doing this event?

How many people were there? It sounded like a pretty large sized room; maybe a couple hundred people attending?

I would loved to have seen Don't Stop the Carnival live also.
The guy sitting next to me at the performance, and I, were talking about everyone's attire (before the presentations), I jokingly said "I'm surprized Jimmy is even wearing shoes..." and went on to explain to the gentleman just how casual Jimmy really is.
Jimmy mentioned 'listening to it last night after 10 years' and something about his studio in Sag Harbor.
The room's seating capacity is around 480; alot of the seats reserved for Members of Congress were not filled, and there were quite a few empty "public" seats. A rough estimate on my part would be 350 people in attendance.
I did not find out about the event until that morning. I happen to have off work on Wednesdays (but may have called in well). I still had to work out logistics with getting the keets taken care of after school, and ditched another commitment (done by text message). I had to go by my wife's work to get the camera that she says is "ours", but is always in her control. Amy, my wife, is a huge PHan also; let's just say she was less than pleased that she couldn't go. Anyway, I live North of Baltimore, and made the 68 mile impromtu trip in near record time. I was expecting hoards of Parrottheads to show up hours early; it didn't happen. I was the first one there at about 1 pm. I quickly made friends with the Event Coordinator, Paul, who was astonished that I was there so early, and I think he felt sorry for me that I had nothing "better" to do. Paul and the others could not understand why I was so adamant about sticking around for 4 hours prior. Paul finally told me that he was going to have everyone line up down the hall, behind a partitian, but that since I was there so early, he would make sure I got in without having to be in that line. THANKS PAUL!
This event was about Herman Wouk, and I dressed appropriately; I did not see anyone dressed over the top. We were all very well behaved as far as I could tell. There were some Capitol Hill Suits that came in like their poo don't smell, but that is kind of what I expected. It was a wonderful evening, and I must say that I am even more sold on Herman Wouk! Herman read excerpts, from his journals, that would put almost any Novelist's greatest works to shame!

I did not notice any papers on the floor, just wires and his shoes. I think he practiced a bit more than he led on.

Damn! I didn't know about this until after the fact. I would have been there, probably 4 hours early too, lol. Hey, I'm in Baltimore, you could have picked me up! Great videos, thanks for sharing and glad you had a great time!
