Monday's back at the MSC

Post by Saltx3 »

Good Morning !

It seems it will be another beautiful day at Carolina Cabana. I'm heading to chair yoga at 9:30 and then I think we will spend some time at the beach.
Yesterday we couldn't get into the closest beach to us so we drove another 10 miles and that beach was at full capacity too! So we circled around and were able to get into the one we started at :). If nothing else we are persistent. Spent a lovely 2 hours in the sand & sun.

Other than that we will continue to organize the garage since Scott is coming on Thursday to help Kevin hang the 2nd/final metal shelving system into the ceiling. We haven't loaded up the first one since we want to have all the stuff on the floor and go from there. There's a lot of up & down the ladder with boxes so we want to keep that to a minimum. Even now, we have a lot more space to get around and in/out of both cars.

Good morning Linda and Debbie!

Good luck with your day's adventures, Linda. :)

Going to Cameron's place in a while to help him with his taxes. His are pretty easy, but he's never been comfortable doing them, and E would always help him. So it's my turn...

Have a small wagon load to take to the dumpster. I couldn't yesterday, as the dumpsters were full.

Have a good Monday! :)

Good morning Linda, Debbie and Penny.

It's another nice day but the temperature is supposed to be about 20 degrees cooler tomorrow.

I still do my oldest she-'keet's (she's 38) and did my youngest's (33) until she got married; they're both CPAs and can do their own damn taxes!

Spring has exploded here in the Upper LH Corner.

Happy Monday :x

I'm having lunch at a brewery taproom. They have a turkey club sandwich on the menu and it's really good but it's huge, the last time I had it I had a hard time fitting it in my mouth to take a bite. I had it again today but they give you the option of getting it as a wrap instead of a sandwich. I got the wrap, it was much easier to eat.

The NHL has this thing called the Global Series, 2 teams play 2 games in Europe. They announced the Global Series for the 2026-27 season earlier today, the Carolina Hurricanes are playing the Seattle Kraken in Helsinki in November. Let's see, I'm a hockey fan, the Hurricanes are my "local" team, I've never been to Finland, my passport doesn't expire until 2029.

Hello all!

Happy National Puppy Day everyone! Spaghetti, meatballs, and sausages are on the menu at mi casa tonight :D A dusting of snow came down today along with some rain. It's been pretty dreary and cold...I'd like to go where it's warm! Also noticed: 4444 topics in the Parrothead Social Area today!

We're having some sewer line problems... our house was built in 1941 and there's two places in the old cement pipe line that are failing. One needs immediate attention and the other is soon to follow. The estimate to fix the one is $10.6K, twice that to fix both, or $26.8K to fix both and the 20 foot run between the two. To replace the entire sewer line out to the street (about 75 feet) is $46.8K. :o
I'm waiting for a couple more contractors to come and give me estimates.
The $10.6K estimate is to dig a 6' deep hole, install a $20 coupling, have it inspected, and fill the hole back in. I'm in the wrong business!

They're BOTH CPA's??? :D I'm not, but I do play one on TV. ;) We were done in about 25, and he's getting a nice refund from State and Federal.

That picture is BEAUTIFUL!!! :D

I often try and get wraps instead of sandwiches, if available. Easier to eat, and less messy. :)

So I mailed a copy of E's death certificate to a Capital One account he had. They've closed the account, and wrote off the final balance of $53.62. I was ready to pay it, but was told no, not needed. :)

Hi there! My therapist moved my bad shoulder around and said surgery or 4 months of PT. I"m waiting for a call back from the surgeon that did my knee. The next place to fix the shoulder is an hour away.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.
