The Southern New England Trunkline Trail runs 22 miles from Douglas State Forest to Franklin State Forest. The trail is one of the longest trails in Massachusetts, running through 6 towns. You can find marked trail entrances at each of these towns. The trail is popular to bicyclists, cross-country skiers, equestrians, and hikers.

I see.

Literally at the end of our street is the Heysen Trail.

The Heysen Trail is a 1,200 km (745-mile) walking trail in South Australia, stretching from Cape Jervis on the Fleurieu Peninsula to Parachilna in the Flinders Ranges. It offers diverse landscapes, including coastal cliffs, forests, and rugged outback terrain, taking approximately 50–60 days to complete.

And it is not even anywhere near being the longest.

We have a golf course that is longer:
The Nullarbor Links is the world's longest golf course, spanning 1,365 kilometers (approx. 850 miles) along the Eyre Highway in Australia, from Kalgoorlie (WA) to Ceduna (SA). This 18-hole, par-72 course features holes located at different towns and roadhouses across the Nullarbor Plain, designed to boost tourism and break up the long drive.

I pruned an apple tree using a step ladder and a repo saw. That was tiresome. The knee did OK, but the bad shoulder did not like the effort. Fortunately, we are not yard rats. i can leave all the pruned branches lay for weeks before I gather them.By then I must do it so I can mow.
And I'll bet Nurse Anne didn't like that either !!!

Just saw this today, Penny...

SNETT is the Southern New England Trunkline Trail
It runs through many towns on what used to be old railroad tracks.
Much of it in my town goes through state forest land so it is very scenic.
