Spilling Wine And Sharing Good Times WEDNESDAY @ the MSC
Good morning BN. I wrote this title last night and forgot the song it's from. It just came to me.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Some more of my favorite lyrics!
Ceilin' fan, it stirs the air
Cigar smoke does swirl
The fragrance on the pillowcase
And he thinks about the girl
Spillin' wine and sharin' good times
She sure could make him smile
Ceilin' fan, it stirs the air
Cigar smoke does swirl
The fragrance on the pillowcase
And he thinks about the girl
Spillin' wine and sharin' good times
She sure could make him smile

Hello All:
I'm off to FINALLY get my knee injection. Fins crossed that this gel thing helps to get me through with less pain until I schedule surgery for later this year (my choice). Who wants to go through a summer at the beach having to use a walker, cane, or whatever other torture device the medical people deem appropriate
.
Got a nice message yesterday from the women who owned the AirBnB in Roanoke, VA that we stayed at 6 times during our back & forth travels to and from PA. We were able to get to know them quite well. She & her husband have since sold their property and moved to NC but only 90 mins from us. They are staying a few days next week in Sunset Beach, SC which is only 45 mins from us. They want to stop by for a visit
.
Kevin & I are in the process of trying to agree on a trip. We've taken 5 cruises and with all the illnesses that are going rampant on the ships we're steering clear of them this time. We decided we'd each write down our 5 places we want to see in the US and see if we have any duplicates (odds are that we won't). Anyway -- IF we can agree on something/anything we're going to have our daughter plan it for us. She & Andrew have traveled all over the world in their 7 yrs of marriage (some with 13 yr old grandly Eli) so we trust her judgment. Stayed tuned

Good morning BN!
Great song lines, Bill!
Thank you, Mr. SPH!
Good luck with your travels and injection, Linda! I'm going on a cruise in December. Looking forward to it.
My BIL is coming over today to pick up the wardrobe boxes I used on my move. And to help me hang a wall/coat hanger. Cameron also coming by to help me hang a few things that are pretty heavy.
That's it from here.

Havana Daydreaming....THAT'S a Buffett classic in my book!!!
Good luck Linda with the knee injection. Hopefully it offers you great relief through this summer & until you decide to indeed do the surgery.
Good luck also with agreeable travel plans. Making separate lists & whittling it down from there sounds like a good plan
Today I'm off to the Eye doctor to get the ball rolling on my cataract surgery. First time seeing this Doctor, however he did my brother's cataract surgery & things seem to have went pretty well. Hopeful a good plan will be available for me. Timeline is going to be fairly important. Lynn just got all of her cataract surgery appointments scheduled Monday, so late June/early July will be running back & forth for her appointments & follow ups.
I am going to a different Eye Center with a different doctor so we'll see what there schedules will look like. Currently our first "Escape" for vacay time is end of July for a 3 day getaway. Would be nice to have better vision by then, but we'll SEE how it goes.
Enjoy your 13th day May everyone!

Good morning.
I was watching the hockey game last night and it went into overtime. Vegas won 3-2 and when the game ended I turned the TV off, got up from the couch and banged my knee on the coffee table. That was a fun way to end the night.

Good luck to both of you for your eye surgery, Ken!
I'm pleased with mine, once they got the starbursts fixed. I still am wearing glasses, cause I don't like the way I look WITHOUT them.
OUCH, Larry!!! I hate when I do that. Since both of my love seats have recliners, I don't have a coffee table, but I've kicked the end tables a few times...

I just received an email from Adelphi University, where I went to college, announcing that they named a new president. It says he's the first Adelphi alum to be president, then it also says '81 JD. I think they left something out. If he has a JD he didn't get it at Adelphi, which doesn't have a law school.

I took a ride to Broadway At The Beach to see how construction is going on the brewery/distillery. The temporary fence that was around the building is gone but there's still some construction equipment on the property. The billboard on Hwy 17 that originally said "OPENING MAY, 2026" now says "COMING SOON".
While I was walking around I saw a guy wearing a T-shirt that said LARGEST MICROPENIS IN THE WORLD. Okay

So my BIL came over and got the coat rack hung by the front door, and Cameron put two new shelves together for me. Then I put stuff that was on the floor in bags and boxes on the shelves. I have 5 empty plastic totes that I'll use for packing half of my cookbooks in 2 of them. (I can't lift the box I have ALL of them in.

And I have some of Bill's artwork hanging now in my bathroom.

I am very sentimental and love to know my art is appreciated. Those beach chairs are technically difficult to paint and this painting was one of the first attempts. Most of the wood frames are done one board at a time using painters' tape and the chairs are all freehand. I couldn't do any preliminary sketching.
When I saw Peter Mayer's Twelve Volt Man CD cover, I thought it looked like my work.
