What is that test for??
Sorry.... my Medicare Annual Wellness Visit (AWV).
"The intent of an Annual Wellness Visit (AWV) is to provide a comprehensive personalized and proactive
approach to preventive care, focusing on identifying and managing potential health risks to maintain or
improve overall well-being of individuals. It is not a routine physical exam, but rather a yearly
appointment with an individual’s primary care provider to review the patient’s health status and
develop a personalized prevention plan."

"A Medicare wellness exam focuses on preventive care and personalized health planning, while an annual physical is a comprehensive examination aimed at diagnosing and managing health issues." Medicare pays for the AWV, but not the annual physical but my Medicare Supplemental Insurance does cover it.

My PCP does the AWV as a part of my annual exam. I need the exam to get all my meds renewed for another year (and to make sure that I'll be back again in another year...)

The test is variation of the Montreal Cognitive Assessment: "the cognitive assessment during the Annual Medicare Wellness Exam is designed to evaluate cognitive function and identify potential impairments, such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease." Draw a clock, name as many animals as I can in ten seconds, remember some words (hat, train, chair, egg, blue), etc.

I can't say I remember, but I still had a job in 2004 and my office was across the street so I probably went downstairs to see the performance. At one time there had to be a video on the Today Show website but I doubt if something from more than 20 years ago would still be there.
I looked high and low but found nada. I found older Today Show appearances, but no ASPOL.
