There's a Moon You've Got to See Friday @ the MSC

Post by parrotinparadise »

Good morning BN and happy Independence Eve :D

Lots of fun at this resort I'm staying at in Bar Harbor. There's free coffee, cookies, and apples at the lobby. On top of that there's free breakfast and I've got an oceanfront room! It has the biggest TV I've seen yet! :D

There's also a bonfire pit. Made s'mores under the full moon 8)

Have a great July 3rd, everyone!
Jerry...from Massachusetts. I'd like to go where it's warm! :D

hello y'all

I'm going with a girlfriend to grab some lunch and then go see the Young Washington movie. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Young_Washington.

After that I'll be going with a 2 neighbor couples for a Pelicans ballgame with fireworks after. Since both of these folks work part-time at the ballpark (one in the catering side, the other in the radio booth) they get free game vouchers each time they work so they have a stack of them available. So, free entrance, free parking & good (covered) seats :). Kevin won't be going since his sinus infection has now become a full blown head cold.

Our kids in Lancaster Pennsylvania had a heat index record yesterday of 109. It's not even that hot "down here" :o

Have a fantastic day everyone!

Good morning, BN! :)

Sounds like a great time, Jerry! :D

Enjoy your day, Linda. :D Hope Kevin starts to feel better, soon. :(

Nothing planned here. Probably some laundry, towels and such. Whooo Hoooo!! ;)

No fireworks in all of Colorado - we have enough fires burning in the state. :(

That's all from here.

Good morning.

I got an email from the North Charleston Coliseum & Performing Arts Center this morning about 4th of July specials. I can save $17.76 on tickets to see Barry Manilow. I can save even more by not going at all.

I should look at airfare for my annual Christmas in Las Vegas trip. Next year's NHL schedule won't be out until sometime next month but in case the Golden Knights have a game on Dec. 23 I already have a hotel reservation. I won't buy a plane ticket until I know what the hockey schedule looks like, I can always cancel the hotel. Maybe I should plan a trip to someplace else as a backup.

Larry - I love(d) Barry Manilow, but with his health in decline, I'd rather remember him as he was in the 70's and 80's. :) Good luck on the Vegas trip!!

Good morning, Debbie! :)

Had to think on this one! Great song.

Shinin' in the sky
The perfect alibi
Baby come outside with me
There's this moon you've got to see

Only played twice in concert, back in the 90s.

The sky revealed the rumor
In a misty gray cocoon
Some angry baby-boomers
Stole the everlasting moon
They found a new location
Clear and poison free
In a distant constellation
Oh, they called it lunacy

Hangin' in the sky
The perfect alibi
Baby come outside with me
There's a moon you've got to see
Smiling every place
With his laser-painted face
Light of love in each moonbeam
Want you step into my dream
Everlasting moon

Back when nature ruled the heavens
Oh gypsies, fools, and loons
Were dragged across the ocean
By that everlasting moon

When it goes from full to crescent
I move in and out of tune
It's the envy of the kremlin
It's our everlasting moon

Shinin' in the sky
The perfect alibi
Baby come outside with me
There's this moon you've got to see
Smiling every place
With his laser-painted face
Light of love in each moonbeam
Want you step into my dream
Everlasting moon
Everlasting moon
[/list]

Hi there! I love Bar Harbor, but not on the fourth. We hit Walmart for picnic supplies and they were busy! On a morning road trip we listened to Mac and Zach Brown on RM. It was a wonderful show.

Have any of you seen a significant increase in Spam and Phishing email? I'm all of a sudden getting 10 or more bogus messages every day.

One of today's was

Young Washington was an AMAZING movie !!!

Kevin just got up from a nap that he took most of the time I was gone (from 11:15-3:30). He won't be going to the ball game tonight.

I went out for my daily walk, I couldn't believe the number of people I saw wearing socks with sandals. Is that a new fashion trend? And guys wearing either woolen caps or hooded sweatshirts with the hoods up in 90 degree weather.

Glad you enjoyed the movie, Linda! :) I had to look it up, didn't know anything about it.

I've ended up changing bedding (a pain by myself), washing 2 sets of sheets, and my comforter, then washed bathroom towels/rags/kitchen towels.

The hoods up may be to make identification harder on security cameras,

or they are more likely fashionably stupid.

A contractor I know who is 45 wears a baseball cap backwards ALWAYS!

That all sounds wonderful! (for some reason I thought you were camping  this is much better!) ENJOY!
It also sounds kind of familiar... I wonder if it is the place we stayed at in Bar Harbor many years ago... We LOVED it! :)

Camping Wednesday through Friday morning, then we stay at a hotel near downtown Bar Harbor.
