Yeah, my distraction was the construction cones that were behind me. They're working on some of the concrete in our driveways/parking lot.Caribbean Soul wrote: July 23, 2026 5:13 pm Penny - I've left the garage door open on occasion too... usually because something was distracting me as I left the driveway. Glad all was OK when yu got back!

They're going to do some concrete work in front of my driveway starting tomorrow. My car will be parked in another garage/building. Otherwise I couldn't get out until next week Tuesday or Wednesday, and I have to get out on Sunday and Monday. A bit of a walk from my front door, but I appreciate them looking out for me.

YAY!!!!!! But I thanked her profusely for looking out for me.Hey Penny I just had Yoel and the Concrete manager go over with me In front of building 14 and had them show me where they will be digging up concrete. The concrete manager told us wrong about your unit. The only driveways that will be affected are 1424 and 1412. I'm so sorry about this mix up. Disregard everything about moving your car. You are all set to stay put and no one will be digging up In front of your driveway.
Again, I'm very sorry about this. I hope you have a good rest of your evening.

Oh well.
It's quite a cold morning here in Frog Hollow. 0°C as we speak. We're under a blast of Antarctic air. Even the puppy has agreed to defer his morning walk.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

It is so crazy to me that you are now freezing, Rabz. I remember your stifling hot posts when we were all begging for sun and warmer temps.

I don't have an iPhone so I don't have an Apple wallet. The only Apple product I've ever had is an iPod, I've had 4 or 5 of them over the years.PetalMel wrote: July 23, 2026 6:13 pm Larry, sounds like you might need to get hip and put a credit card in your Apple wallet in your phone. You are lucky Mel. All we have close to us are kids that seem to be on their way into the legal system early on.PetalMel wrote: July 23, 2026 6:13 pm Hi Kids!!
Been rather lazy today. Had a dentist appointment this morning (all the cool kids had one today it seems). Ran some errands and got groceries. Came home and half debated cutting the grass. We got a little rain a few days ago so now the weedy parts of the grass look straggly while other parts still looks dead.
Did some gardening and cut back overgrown and past blooming plants. Came inside with a thought of running a vacuum, but decided on comfy clothes and the lounge chair. It is also a beautiful day here, so I opted to enjoy the open windows and listen to kids playing outside. My neighborhood has lots of kids who like to play outside and ride bikes. It is fun to watch them have fun together.
Tomorrow I need to be more motivated and probably water a bit. Maybe after brunch. I group of ladies I have been somewhat chatting with online are meeting at a nearby place that is supposedly out of this world for brunch. Figured it would be fun and get me out of the house.
Sorry to hear about the water heater, Bill. Nothing is a cheap fix anymore. Hoping it isn’t too much of an expense. Larry, sounds like you might need to get hip and put a credit card in your Apple wallet in your phone. I resisted it for the longest time, but it sure is convenient.

I worked in juvenile justice for a while. Keep calling the police and protective services so hopefully something positive happens. As a mandated reporter, I am guessing I would be calling daily….Saltx3 wrote: July 24, 2026 2:29 pmYou are lucky Mel.
