LIPH wrote: August 14, 2026 4:44 pm The way the ash wholes around here drive, I'm surprised I don't see 10 accidents a day. Speed limits are only suggestions, stop signs are optional, tailgating isn't just something you do at football games, hardly anyone uses turn signals. I always thought the worst drivers I ever saw were NYC cab drivers, then I moved to Myrtle Beach. :o
It's the same way in the Denver area, ALL over.
I used to think it was just a MASS-hole thing... but I've come to the conclusion that driving ALL OVER has degraded to the point of being dangerous!

I may not be able to party like I used to, but if I take a nap, I can usually stay up ‘til dark....

I have a theory - and this doesn't apply EVERYWHERE, but we had Drivers Ed classes in high school. No one has that anymore.

My HS did not have Driver's Ed.
I took it during the summer after my senior year at the local Public School, but only so I could qualify for lower insurance rates...

But it is required here... just not part of HS curriculum but through a private driving academy. There is a written test to get a permit, and once that is obtained, then there are classroom and driving hours at a certified driving school PLUS a ton of parent-accompanied hours (and from what I understand, parents now need to take a class also; I did not when my kids learned) required to be completed before they can even schedule their road test!
And yet... the MASS-holes abound!
