Leave My Cares Behind Monday @ the MSC

Post by SMLCHNG »

Good morning BN! :)

I ended up being pretty lazy yesterday, and didn't get much of anything done. :P So today I'll try again.

Hope you all have a good Monday!! :)

Good Morning Penny.....BN'ers to come!

Penny, You're retired. Being lazy when you choose comes with the territory!! so I'm told
Yesterday Lynn proclaimed it "clean the basement day". Mind you our basement is a place for the Washer & Dryer, furnace, sump pump, water conditioner & a place to stowaway crap you may use again but the odds are not high that you will ! Among other things its' a place for cobwebs to be born. Let's just say I spent a lengthy time with Mr. Shop Vac destroying said cobwebs :pirate: She organized the "keepers" from the it's history stuff. Only part of It's history stuff could be taken out. Today was trash/recycle day so lets just say our bins were overflowing at the road today. And they will be refilled either today or tomorrow for sure [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif]

Enjoy your 17th day of August everyone!

Good morning Penny and Ken.

We're under an extreme heat warning, the heat index could go over 110. :o According to the weather app on my phone it's already 100.

That’s what I was gonna say! GPHMTA
I spent a lot of time yesterday thinking about all the things that I should probably be doing, but ultimately figgered that I could do them in the next day or two or twelve…. 🤔

This song is pretty high up on my favorites list, off of one of my favorite albums:

Here’s the music video from 35 years ago:

Follow the equator, like that old articulator
Sail upon the ocean just like Mr. Twain
Never look back, this is my plan
Run my pony through the sand
Somewhere, somewhere

Leave my cares behind
Take my own sweet time
Ocean's on my mind

I may not be able to party like I used to, but if I take a nap, I can usually stay up ‘til dark....

Hello Everyone!

The Ringers are doing what most others in this area are doing -- STAYING IN THE AC.

I went to chair yoga at 9:15. No beach or pool -- believe it or not it's just too hot for both with the heat index in triple digits. I may go back to the library to shelve books in the AC.

One of our (new) HOA Board Members just resigned -- he made it 3 months. Sigh -- what a freakin' mess.

Off to work on my puzzle :).

I went downstairs to get my mail and I was going to take a ride to the gas station to fill the tank. I got my mail and went back upstairs instead. My weather app says it's 92 degrees and the heat index is 113. A/C please. 🥵

Soooo, I decided to move a bit, and clean my front and back windshields, then take my small vacuum cleaner to clean up the front and back carpet. :D I'm done for today. :D
And that song is also on my favorite list. :D

So, I got a new watch. E bought me a Garmin Lily several years ago. Loved it, but it wasn't holding a charge, so I got a Lily2. Just finished paring it with my phone, and fixed all the different settings (watch face, and buzzing notification levels, etc). I like it so far. :D

My watch has water inside the glass. Guessing at 12$, it isn't waterproof. I saw a teacher who went to JB. It was a nice visit.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

So, Cameron got me an Alexa. He wants to make sure I'm okay. If I have any falls for whatnot, I can yell at her to call him or my sister. I just asked it to play JB music. :D And I have him, AND a mash up of artists like him playing in the kitchen, while I'm in the bedroom.

Well that's weird.

I woke up at about midnight (well, that is to say that the dog woke me up because he was busting to go outside) and I had the thread title song running through my noggin as an earworm.

I guess it'll now be there all day!

Bit of a miserable day here in Frog Hollow. Cool to cold with showers. I want to take the new ute for its first run but I don't want the first run to be in the rain!

I spent about 3 hours mucking around with the onboard tech yesterday - I still have no idea!

Good evening :D

Just finished constructing a homemade Twister mat for an upcoming family gathering (mum's birthday). I tried it with a neighbor, very difficult. I named it the Nightmare Edition. 6 dots wide, 8 dots long :D :D
