Good morning Penny.

We just had about a 5 minute downpour, now the sun's shining.

I haven't made my weekly brewery visit yet this week, I'm trying to decide which one to go to. There's one I haven't been to in about 6 weeks but I checked their beer list on Untappd and they don't have anything new. There's another one that's a couple of miles closer, it's easier to park and they have some new beers since the last time I was there. I think I just decided.

WOW -- so quiet in here today!

I just realized how late in the day it is.....not sure what I did for the past 4 hours since I woke up :).

We got a portable AC unit for our Carolina Room. A neighbor got one and we were very impressed with how it worked so we're giving it a try. It's on wheels with an expandable "hose" that goes into the window tracts. It hooked up very easily and we're anxious to see how it works for us but will wait until later when we actually want to sit out in the room.

I need to go food shopping - my list is short but there are a few good prices on some things that I want to get even though we don't need them right now.

We spent 2 hours at the pool yesterday morning. The water was so warm we joked that we should have taken our soap & shampoo

I may go to the gym today to walk on the treadmill since it's too hot/humid to walk any distance.

Enjoy your Thursday !

On the news last night, the weather lady said we might get some "real" rain this weekend.... as much as 0.10" in Seattle!
(Granted, that would be five times what we've had in total this month....)

Starting at about the 30 second mark, look at how young Michael and Jim are, and Peter at 2:46....

Hi there! We went to the largest funeral I've ever attended. Over 200 people came to celebrate a wonderful woman in our town. H and was er daughter was my student so pleased to see me.

I'm of the mind that all attending a funeral, no matter how small a connection to the person, is always appreciated.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

There were two people behind the bar at the brewery. One was an Asian guy who I've seen a few times before and he's one of the most polite people I've ever seen. He greets everyone as they walk through the door, before they even make it to the bar. The other one was a really cute girl I don't remember ever seeing before. Another employee came out from the back and said he just finished stacking boxes in the back. He pointed to the cute girl, who is kind of short, and said one of the stacks of boxes was almost twice as tall as she is. Another customer said "I like that you became a unit of measure, the pile is 2 Emilys high".

YES!! While Peter & Jim Mayer are instantly recognizable by their "playing style" if I were to see still photos of them (or Roger with all that hair!) from that era, I'm not sure I would know who they were. Fingers, Ralph, & Robert I think I would.

So thanks for finding this cool clip, Mr.SPH... you never disappoint!
I have to say the "Take a HIGHER Road" title on it cracked me up... which is something I need these day... so a double big THANK YOU for that!
