We had 1" of rain last night. Not enough but better than nothing.

Leaving soon to donate blood and then our schedule is clear. I'm not sure what we are doing but unless it's going to the beach we won't be outside since the temp/humidity are still brutal.

For the 1st time in MONTHS I shelved books at the library - it felt good to be back in volunteer mode .

Today's my mum's birthday barbecue! Lots of cooking, cleaning, and setting up to do. We're also getting rain, but hopefully that won't dampen the fun It is technically a pool party, too Also! My 1939 copy of Wind, Sand, and Stars is coming on Tuesday.

I haven't been paying too much attention to the Pelicans the last few weeks because they're playing so poorly. I looked at their website earlier and they're in last place. They have 14 games left in the season, if they win all 14 and the first place team loses all of their games, the Pelicans still can't catch them. They're on a 4 game losing streak right now and they've allowed 42 runs in those 4 games, including 19 in one game.
