Roll With The Punches Monday @ the MSC

Post by SMLCHNG »

Good morning BN!

Nothing going on here today, several things for me later in the week.

About 91 today, so a LITTLE better.

Have yourself a good Monday! :)

Good afternoon Penny and Debbie.

I went out earlier, I had a couple of things to do. When I was driving home it started raining and at one point it was coming down so hard I could barely see the car in front of me. By time I got home the rain had stopped and the sun was shining. Now it's raining sideways.

No rain here, still at 0.02" for the month and 1.11" since the estival solstice..... 🌵☀️

We've gotta roll with the punches, learn to play all of our hunches
Makin' the best of whatever comes your way
Forget that blind ambition and learn to trust your intuition
Plowin' straight ahead, come what may

I may not be able to party like I used to, but if I take a nap, I can usually stay up ‘til dark....

Thanks for the song, Mr. SPH. :D You 'win' on this one... we've had 4" since that date, but we almost had no snow during the winter.

I was dating a co-worker when I went to my first Buffett concert and I took her with me. A few other people in the office were at the same show.

When I was in law school I took one of my classmates to JB@JB. As far as I know none of my co-workers at the firm ever went to a JB show.

So, poor Sarah had an AWFUL migraine today, and I was on doctor transportation today. She's not great, but I didn't need to take her. She can't drive when she has one. :( Hopefully she'll be better tomorrow... I hope.

Been sitting too long at my desk/chair, so I'm gonna head to the couch for a bit. :)

I had two co-workers who were Parrot Heads 🦜. And then there was the time I was down in Dallas/Fort Worth at a program partner's site and I was in my counterpart's cubicle and the next door cubicle was decorated with sharks 🦈 and flamingos🦩 and such🌴and had a Margaritaville calendar 📅 on the wall. A new friendship soon ensued and nearly thirty years later we still correspond....

Good evening!
The new washer and dryer stack is working nicely! The old washer (top loader) would rattle and shake and slam into things. Before you knew it, it'd be in the center of the bathroom

Penny - Hope she feels better.
Jerry...from Massachusetts. I'd like to go where it's warm! :D

Evening all!

Larry - yikes! Sounds like Mother Nature's first name is Sybil! :o

Penny - Poor Sarah... one of my NY co-workers suffered from bad migraines I recall driving her home on a few occasions because she could not drive either. She was close to the hospital so it was not a big deal for me. When she recovered (usually the next day), her husband would drive her in to work. Sarah is lucky to have you around to help out!

Bill - Jim and I both had co-workers who would go to Buffett concerts; several of our neighbors attended as well.

Mr. SPH - nice version, thanks!

Jerry - ah yes... the traveling washer! I've had to shove mine back into place many times, mostly after doing a "towel" load, as they seem to get more unbalanced than anything else! Hope the new pair works out well!
