Today is a pick up poo day, and fill the bird feeders. They have a lot of birds out here. I refilled the birdbath yesterday.

The only roaming I will do this weekend is to the grocery store and around the yard to cut the grass. Well, except for today. It is the Day of Service for Parrotheads to celebrate Jimmy. The Friday of Labor Day has been designated as a day for us to Party With a Purpose and engage in community service to honor the legacy of phun and philanthropy that we have come to love.

Once the heavier rain stops, I am headed out to drop off some needed things to our local shelter and pick up some flowers to hand out to random strangers. My theme this year is "the joy is always enough" so that songline will go on the card attached to the flowers to encourage others to see the bright side of things.

Other than that, it is the usual weekend stuff which includes starting the prep for autumn chores. I do like the change of seasons, but I sure am not ready for the long dark days of winter.

If you run out of poo, you are welcome to come here and see what you can find It will be like a scavenger hunt now that we have gotten some rain and the grass has grown. Just another reason why there is a poop bag key chain on the lawn mower key. I pick up as I roll up on it in an attempt not to roll over it

Good Afternoon Everyone!

It's so nice to see all the chatter that allows us to reminiscence about past JB shows & events and to celebrate the time we had ("with") him & others.

We have Bill's artwork from the Hershey PA (only show) Labor Day Weekend Show hanging on the garage wall that pays homage to our JB & PH adventures. That artwork was also used to make all of us lanyards for that show .

Nothing super exciting happening here today but we have tickets to the Pelicans ballgame tonight (the same team that Larry talks about). It will be a scorcher with tons of humidity but they have fireworks after each Fri night game and they are always nice.

I have a blood draw (for kidney stuff) at 2:45 which our neighbor friend (Dave & Sue both work in the health care system we use) scheduled for me so I could get it done faster (although the offices are closed on Monday) the Dr may have the results by Tuesday morning.

Off to do a little bit more of nothing.

I'm sitting at the Landshark Bar & Grill sipping on a Sunshine State Of Mind in my Jimmy Buffett Day commemorative cup. It's light rum, lemon vodka, strawberry puree and lemonade. I thought it was a better choice than Blandshark, Bud Light or Michelob Ultra, which are the only beers available in the special cup.
