Morning All.
Spring has sprung, our stone fruit trees have started to flower and the grape vines are just starting bud burst. It is the time of renewal and weeds...
So many weeds, literally, two acres of weeds. We have finally got some dry weather, so inevitably, I have been working in the yards and orchard. I went to the service station (gas station) in our village, it is three pumps, general store and take-away, there were three utes on the driveway all filling up mower fuel cans!
Oh, this morning while cleaning up the kitchen and making (proper) coffee, Take Another Road came on the music system. Although I have heard it hundreds of times and know the words it was the first time I have actually listened to it. It is a very clever song that intertwines the adventure of losing yourself in a novel and losing yourself in an adventure.
I read a fair bit, but haven't read a novel for the sake of escapism for the longest time. I think that needs to change

I may have to consult the piles of unread books and find something to take away into the Flinders Ranges in a couple of weeks...
