National Smarties Day on October 2 celebrates the sweet legacy of an iconic candy and the smarty pants people who never stop learning.
Smarties have been around since 1949. That's over 70 years of celebrating this sweet candy wafer roll. In honor of National Smarties Day, we invite everyone to take a walk down memory lane and enjoy this nostalgic candy. If you've never tried Smarties, this is your chance to become a new member of the smarty pants club.

I love me some smarties .

Off to chair yoga this morning and then at 4:00 I'm heading with 3 friends to the Huntington Beach State Park for a craft session to make a seashell wind chime .

Have a haircut today at 2:00, and I'll run another errand while I'm out.

I love Smarties. Used to get them often in my Halloween bag as a kid. Haven't had any in a while, but I have liked them since I was a kid.

I never heard of smarties.

I didn't see the game but the NY Rangers goalie scored a goal last night. He's the 18th goalie to score a goal. I didn't know that, I had to look it up. The first goalie to score a goal was Billy Smith of the NY Islanders. The last one was Ilya Sorokin, also of the Islanders. Martin Brodeur of the NJ Devils holds the record, he scored 3 goals. Alex Nedelkovic (sp?), who played for the Pittsburgh Penguins at the time, is the only goalie to score a goal and an assist in the same game. Too bad he didn't get into a fight, then he would have been the only goalie with a Gordie Howe hat trick.

That's an interesting stat, Larry. I had no idea, and I've watched a lot of hockey.

We've been promised a week of nice weather (might even see a couple of days in the 70°s) and so I've been busy outside doing a lot of fall clean-up before the winter doldrums set in.

Good afternoon gang!
Smarties, like Larry never heard of them either. Googled them & nope....didn't look familiar. Sweetarts like Bill mentioned, had em as a kid but not really a fan.
Nedeljkovic was the goaltender of our first Junior Hockey team here in Flint back in 2015 (team moved here from Plymouth).
You could see he was good, but had a poor team in front of him, thus he got traded for a bunch of draft picks.

Back from haircut. She's been doing my hair for about 10 years. 5 years ago she bought her own shop. She recently expanded it AND bought the building that has 4 other businesses. Proud of her.
