A Bottle Of Rum And A Lime Saturday @ the MSC

Post by SMLCHNG »

Good morning all!

It's a cool 53 degrees this morning, but sunny. Heading to the 80's.

Having dinner with my former neighbor, and E's longtime family friend (who lives here in my town).

Started a load of laundry already, and it's fluffing in the dryer.

Have a good Saturday!! :)

***************FOOTNOTE*********************

I just read on FB that today is Ken's (Dr. Corona) birthday!!! :D :D
Happy birthday!!!! [smilie=happydance.gif] [smilie=hiya.gif] [smilie=superkewl.gif]

Good morning Penny.

Happy Birthday Ken!!!

There's an Oktoberfest celebration at Barefoot Landing up in North Myrtle Beach. I was thinking of going but there's a 60% chance of rain today. I don't want to drive 20 miles to an outdoor event just so I can turn around and drive 20 miles back home because it's raining. Maybe I'll go to Total Wine instead and replenish my beer supply, even though I don't like to shop on the weekend when all the worker bees are shopping.

Happy B'day Ken!

Image

Spending those renegade pesos
On a bottle of rum and a lime
Singin' give me some words I can dance to
Or a melody that rhymes

I may not be able to party like I used to, but if I take a nap, I can usually stay up ‘til dark....

Hopefully it won't be too crowded. Does your store offer delivery service?

They probably do have delivery service but it wouldn't do me any good. I never know what I'm buying until I get there. I walk around the store and look for something I haven't tried before. Today I bought a special Halloween 12 pack sampler from Angry Orchard Cider called Thriller. No Michael Jackson moonwalking involved.

Happy Birthday Ken!
It was laundry day here while waiting for the Buckeyes kick off! Monday is my MIL 90th birthday and tomorrow we're having Thanksgiving dinner for her. It's kind of a tradition to have a summer Thanksgiving and since she's in a retirement facility we haven't had one for years.
Have a great weekend 👍

Welll……..how quickly the folks on the street where the hoodlums now reside found out what we’ve been dealing with.

1 guy (who we know) started a post about the kids on the new house porch screaming at the top of their lungs at 9 am. It went downhill from there. The “mom” went off saying here’s my number. I discipline my children and will make them apologize.” (Which is hysterical). Anyone would be crazy to call or text her….who knows what she’d do with the phone numbers. Said “ there are 3 unfounded DCS reports….yall mind your business”. She forgot to say how many were founded. 🤪. Anyway……. Not our problem anymore.

I didn't go. As I was leaving Total Wine it started raining, not hard but it rained the whole time I was driving home. The rain stopped shortly after I got home but I decided not to go.

They all have Halloween themed names so I'm going to wait until later in the month to drink them.

Good afternoon Ladies & Gentlemen!
I appreciate the birthday wishes everyone!
Lynn made me a tasty biscuits & gravy breakfast (trying to put me in an early grave) I’m thinking.
Afterwards, we went & picked out our wedding bands. I played it all up, birthday, Sr.Citizen, AARP discounts. My ring was made in Canada so I
even asked about a possible tariff charge waiver/rebate 😁
Ultimately the joking around I did supposedly saved me roughly $200 so I’ll take it.
Took advantage of the very nice lower 60’s degree sunshiny day .
Did some hedge trimming & branch trimming.
Finished up in time to come in & see my Michigan Wolverines bite the dust to the Minnesota Gophers. Gonna be a long season 😡

Thanks again guys
