Take Me To Stars That You Know Tuesday @ the MSC

Post by SMLCHNG »

Good morning BN! :)

Have an errand to run later this morning, and a stop at the store afterwards.

If he was still alive today, my Dad would have been 99 today. :) And Elaine's MIL would have been 95. :D

It's in the mid 50's already, and heading to the mid 80's.

Have a good Tuesday! :)

Good afternoon Penny.

I went downstairs, started my car and the warning light for low tire pressure came on. The right front tire was at 24psi, it's supposed to be 35. There's a gas station 1/4 mile away so I went to put air in the tire. When I walked around to the right side of the car I saw a nail in the tire. I drove right to the tire store, about a mile away, the guy told me it would be at least 30 minutes before he could get to my car. I gave him my key fob, walked to the supermarket (less than 1/2 mile), went to the Beer Den and got a beer. 🍺

Good afternoon Penny & Larry & the later arrivals.
This coming Thursday 81 year old Robin Trower will be playing a concert about 45 minute south of town. He's been a regular in the Detroit area for a number of years & I've often considered going to see him live, but have yet to pull the trigger. The guitar whiz's huge success came in the mid 70's with his huge album, Bridge of Sighs, a blues infused rock album. It's really the only part of his catalogue that I'm familiar with but it's enough to tempt me. Tix seem a bit pricey unless I go General Admission Standing. Not sure if I'm UP for the 2 hour standing that I'll probably have to endure. [smilie=huh-ani.gif] To be determined most likely Come Thursday.

Hello Penny & Larry (and any others who stop by)

It's a beautiful day in our neighborhood.....the hoodlums from across the street left their garage AND front door open all night :o
They are here now loading up yet another round of stuff in the trailer.

Yesterday while I was out pulling some crap from the lawn something bit me on the inside of my wrist. Within minutes it started to swell, and a large red streak went up from my wrist to my elbow. I monitored that streak but it didn't go past my elbow. I lathered on some hydrocortisone cream (no Benadryl for me - it makes my heart race and makes me jittery and unable to sleep). Anyway, this morning my lower arm is still red and swollen. The itching isn't too bad so I'm not worried.

Both of us got flu shots yesterday with a technique we never had. Sort of like an Epi pen. We had no issues from the shot but today we each have a slight headache. I'll take that over the flu anyway !!

I took a 2.5 mile walk around the neighborhood earlier today so the rest of the day will be relaxing. Well, until I go to a friends house to watch her 3yr old granddaughter who has been here with her mom for 8 weeks. Mia & Remi are heading back to NY on the 14th and my friend wanted to go to the movies with Mia. Kevin & I both love Remi.....and it makes this nonny's heart full to spend time with a little person since ours are so far away.

I have to say I've never heard of him. Even with pictures, I haven't a clue. :) There's no way I could stand for 2 hours, but hope you can go and enjoy. :)

They are here now loading up yet another round of stuff in the trailer. MORE STUFF?? That's crazy.

Yesterday while I was out pulling some crap from the lawn something bit me on the inside of my wrist. Anyway, this morning my lower arm is still red and swollen. The itching isn't too bad so I'm not worried. I'd keep an eye on that, especially the redness and swelling. :(

We had no issues from the shot but today we each have a slight headache. I'll take that over the flu anyway !! I haven't had the flu in probably 20 years. A cold once or twice in that same time. My PA will probably suggest I have one, but I'm not in a hurry to have one.

Kevin & I both love Remi.....and it makes this nonny's heart full to spend time with a little person since ours are so far away. I like that you like a little one so much!!! :D

Obviously I'm back from running to my financial company (investments and IRA's), then a quick stop at the grocery store for a few things. I got to talk to the store manager, who was the one who arranged for all the food I got for E's Celebration of Life party. He's a very nice/kind person. :)

I had a delicious sour beer from a brewer in Maryland, it's a collaboration with a brewer from Latvia.

One of our neighbors is organizing a neighborhood Oktoberfest potluck and so I made a trip to TotalWine to pick up a beverage and ended up with some Weihenstephaner OktoberFestbier to take to the gathering. Weihenstephaner bills itself as the oldest still existing brewery in the world.

On the way home I stopped at TheHomeAwayFromHomeDepot and picked up furnace filters and air purifiers filters.

I may not be able to party like I used to, but if I take a nap, I can usually stay up ‘til dark....

Hey gang!
I've been MIA because we went down to LI for a mini class reunion and I did not take my laptop.
It was great seeing the folks who showed up, especially one of our classmates who had been listed as deceased at our 50th! :o He has an unusual name, but it is the same as his dad's, who DID pass a bit over 3 years ago. I guess someone apparently did not notice the age in the obituary!

Anyway... I just wanted to pop in to say hi and offer these belated B-day wishes:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KEN!

and

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ANNE!

Good evening! I am tooling with the program Scrivener to hopefully get back into writing. My new story is set during the winter in the Pacific Northwest, which nicely coincides with the coming seasons :D

I have Scrivener. Deep but worth it.
