International Beer and Pizza Day unites two of the world’s most cherished foods every October 9. This global celebration invites enthusiasts to indulge in their favorite slices and brews, from classic pairings to adventurous new combinations. Gather your friends, explore local pizzerias and breweries, and raise a glass to this delicious duo!
Well, I'll be participating with a glass of beer later today, as LTB is celebrating a "Pre-GABF" (Great American Beer Festival) party, and I know some folks who are going. I'll probably just have one, cause I suspect it'll be crowded/busy.
Stopping at the store in a while, dropping off my voting ballot, and picking up my mail..
Good Morning Penny.............BN'ers to come.
TGIIBnPD!!
I've had Pizza on my Mind (sung in the tune of Willie Nelson) lately. May be an excuse to follow up on that!
Another quite nice Fall day. Not sure what that will entail for me in the outdoor world though. Only Time Will Tell!
Hope everyone enjoys their Friday!
Corona by day, Corona by night, any old time is just alright!
I found the small grocery list I couldn't find last night. It was out in my garage. Apparently I had it in my hand, set it down on a storage tub, when I went out to get grocery bags for today, and set those bags on the hood of my car.
I've been celebrating International Beer and Pizza Day two or three times a month all year long, but I'll make a point of doing so again tonight.
It's raining for the first time this month so today looks like it may be a good day to get caught up on my reading. And, since nobody's gonna give me one, maybe I'll take a nap.....
TGIF BNrs!
I may not be able to party like I used to, but if I take a nap, I can usually stay up ‘til dark....

International Beer and Pizza Day, that's a holiday I can celebrate. Maybe I'll go to Mellow Mushroom for lunch.
A guy on the Hurricanes scored a hat trick last night. After the 3rd goal when the crowd started cheering and throwing hats on the ice, he reached up near his helmet with one hand and made a motion like he was tipping his hat. The 3 goals were scored 3 different ways, shorthanded, power play and even strength.
I heard about Ditka a few hours ago, Larry. This makes me very sad. I wish I could tell E about it.. he was one of his favorites.
Ran to the store, dropped off my ballot, and got my mail. I keep boxes from Amazon/liquor store in a wagon that E used to have, and I ran that stuff to the dumpster. Then Cameron stopped by for a few minutes.

I'm with you SPH on this food and drink holiday. I eat a mostly organic and clean diet, but most Thursdays are usually Home Run Inn pizza and Miller High Life.
On the corner of 'Walk' and 'Don't Walk' somewhere on US 1.

Well, for those still awake.. or not. I had a great time. I talked with the owner (John, who loved E) for about an hour. Then the head brewer (Jerry) for about the same. I wasn't allowed to pay for anything. Jerry said I'm the "Queen" of the place, and that made me smile. I also saw a guy I used to work with at DIRECTV, haven't seen him since 2017 but he still remembered me. He's the head brewer at a brewery we went to a few times in Aurora (where we lived before this place). Had a nice visit with him, too!!
Time to pour an adult beverage and get into comfy clothes.
I am exhaustipated! (tired to the point where you can't give a poop any more!)
Shopping, dog walk, cleaned the chook shed, worked in the veggie garden getting it ready for the summer planting, fought the battle with the sparrow nests and some other orchardist stuff.
Mrs Rabz says over the radio "don't forget we're going out to lunch" to which I answer "I cannot forget that which I do not know".
Silence.
More silence.
"We have to leave in ten minutes..."
