Good morning Bob.... I mean Bill!! :P

Cloudy and breezy this morning, but it's 65 degrees, so windows are open. :)

Nothing on the agenda of things to do.

Hope you have a good Sunday!! :)

Good morning Bill and Penny.

The Hurricanes played in Chicago yesterday. One of the announcers said the Chicago marathon was today. The other announcer said he gets tired just driving 26 miles.

Our town is hosting a run through the local state park on a bike trail and hiking trails. Hundreds of contestants participate in 3 levels, 25 miles, 50 miles and for the true whack jobs, one hundred miles!

I was a runner when I was younger but I never had any desire to run a marathon. I was a sprinter, I ran short distances.

We had a couple days of showers but it should be dry for a few days. We're on baby watch; our she-'keet [smilie=battingeyes.gif] Nicole's due date is tomorrow, so were on call to head south to the Bay Area. We have SEA-SJC reservations for each day this week as well as hotel and car reservations that we've been sliding day by day. If not sooner, we'll fly down Friday for sure. I'll only be down there for a couple of days to say hello to my new granddaughter and then I'll get the heck out of the way and come home. Nicole wants Mammabear to stick around for a little longer, so she be down there a week (or longer.) MrsSPH was a clinical OB/GYN nurse for 17 of her 42 nursing years (as well as having a couple of kids herself) and will be a huge help to the new mamma (and poppa Matt).

It's the Bob Robert's Society Band
Playing every Sunday at the Orange Grove Stand
They don't play grunge and they don't play loud
It's the magic of the music that still draws a crowd

Not on theme, but I gotta include this just 'cuz it's so damn good....

Not a runner here either! I never was, but now I can't even imagine my knees making it past 26 yards, never mind miles!
My son did his first full marathon last weekend in Portland, OR. He had been doing just half marathons previously. He did pretty well (4:19) considering it was a hard course due to the steepness in some spots and the weather that day.
His wife is an avid runner and always does the full. Her time in Portland was 3:57, quite a bit off her best. She has run Chicago several times, as that is where she mostly grew up.

Good evening! Congratulations Ken and Lynn!!

It has been a damp and cloudy day here. I've been listening to a little Finnish music while I write. Their songs are very melancholic. Yoton Yo (Nightless Night) reminds me of walking through a blizzard. Cold, yet it has a sort of warmth to it :)
Jerry...from Massachusetts. I'd like to go where it's warm! :D

I have noticed something odd ever since we got our new electric vehicle.

Let's say that it's a nice sunny morning and the solar panels are charging up the house battery, running the pool heater and pool filter.

Sometime towards lunchtime the battery is full, so now it's time the charge the ute.

The sky is clear and blue when you walk into the shed to plug the ute in.

By the time you get back to the house, clouds will have begun to roll in and then there will be drizzle very shortly!

Every time.

I am beginning to think it's a conspiracy by "Big Cloud"! :o :o       :P

Back in high school I ran the 220, 440, and 880 (yards). I usually got 2nd or 3rd. :)

Couch time. I was able to watch MOST of the Broncos game (it was on CBS), and yeah they won. But they should have won BIG against the Chargers.

Cameron just stopped by on his way home from work, just to check on me. :D

See ya later, or tomorrow. :)
