Been a busy few days... my spare time has been spent setting up my phone the way I want it. Luckily, everything transferred fine except the last few months of WhatsApp... (so I am missing a few pics sent by my German relatives, but at least they are on my old phone's SD card and also on my laptop) and one ringtone that I had to re-download from Zedge. The fun part was reassigning them (and my text notifications) to the appropriate contacts!
Glad most everything transferred! I've never used WhatsApp or Zedge.. Don't even know what Zedge is. I'm a very basic phone user.
I use WhatsApp for my international contacts as there is no fee. I think it is part of Meta now. For some reason it did not back up properly since the summer (probably having to do with my phone running out of storage as a lot of things were wonky - hence my new one) But I do still have the photos and videos that were sent to me, since those were stored on the SD card, which I copied to my laptop.
Zedge is the site where I get my ringtones, notifications and backgrounds. I used to be able to create ringers myself, but that was back in my BlackBerry days on one of their programs. I do still have the ones I created way back then, though.

Ah, okay! I have them from Samsung, and like what they offer. Right now I only use "If The Phone Doesn't Ring" by Buffett.

Ah, okay! I have them from Samsung, and like what they offer. Right now I only use "If The Phone Doesn't Ring" by Buffett.
That's a good one, I did not see that in the Samsung store when I had my 2 Samsungs.
My "default" is "Who Can It Be Now" but my family all have distinctive ringers and text notifications. Since I do not carry my phone around the house with me, if I hear a "family tone" from the other room, I know whether to make an effort to get to it!

I like the song you're using!!! Because I had JB on my music app, I was able to use the snippet of the song for my ringtone.
I only have 2 larger rooms in my apartment, I can hear the phone from anyplace.

I don't use music apps. I used to be able to create my own ringers but that program was associated with BlackBerry. I made several Buffett ones I did not use yours because that was what I put as the greeting on our old answering machine, so GPHMTA!

Oh and I can HEAR my phone pretty much anywhere I am in the house,too... but when the song is Men At Work, i just let it go to voicemail!
