How do you break up the show into tracks?

Post by Boomerang Ross »

I'm recording with Total recoder and I'm wondering how to break the show up. I have CD WAve editor, but I don't want to record in .wav. Is there anything out there? ...wake up ..wake up wake up... drifting into a Pink Floyd song there sorry. 8)

That's what i use is cdwave editor, just convert the file to .wav and then your set. It is a little space consuming however.

I tried out about 8 different programs, specifically suited for MP3 editing. Ultimately I went with Cool Edit 2000.

The cost was about $70, but it's definitely made things pretty easy for me to cut. It only took about 10-15 minutes of playing with it and cutting some audio to really get the hang of it.

After using it for a few weeks, I would recommend it without hesitation (and it works on more than just mp3).

They also have a "pro" version for $250. I tried both and went with the cheaper CE2000. Both work, however....

You can also remove parts of the file. Long dead spots in the broadcast or the long time before the encore. It will also let you remove hiss, etc if there is any.
