special meaning song for me....this was playing the first time I kissed my girlfriend and she had to know right away that I had a school boy heart!!!
Question: "And now Kenny Chesney has recorded a beach album." Jimmy's Answer: "It's flattering. Some people say I should be p*** off about it but I'm really not. It's the highest form of flattery, and I'm fine with it."

Well, sirgumby beat me to posting post show, but I thought I would throw in a few comments, having just arrived home.
About 5 minutes before Hot, Hot, Hot, images of the flag showed up on the screens, and a flag above the stage was spotlighted as a recording (maybe Whitney's) of The Star Spangled Banner played. DOn't know if that was Jimmy or the theater-I would suspect Jimmy-it got a rousing cheer.
You may also have heard the crowd shouting USA, USA a bit later- the crowd started it, but Jimmy joined in.
Jimmy also had two small flags on the microphone stand.
I followed the conversation here Tuesday as people were torn as to what he should do or say; being there, it seemed just about right tonight-not dwelling on it, but definitely mentioned.
He seemed genuinely glad to be performing again, and the sound was much better than usual at Tweeter, though less so after intermission. I usually cannot pick up his "banter" and it all was very clear.
Driving home I felt an enormous feeling of satisfaction, not only because it was a wonderful concert, but for a few hours, I had escaped and had some fun. ll of you going Saturday, enjoy!

I thought the show was wonderful, even if it was cold (hey, this is summer in Chicago!!) I was disappointed that somebody stole my parrot helium balloon off my car, however. My husband told me to remove it before we went in, but I said heck no, these are parrotheads! Nothing will happen to it. Maybe we're reverting back to our pre-9/11 days. Anyway, we thought Jimmy was great, as usual. Long live summer!!!
