Non - RM Buffett concert recordings?

Post by Scuba Jeremy »

Hey ya'll!
I was wondering if there are any high quality non-Radio Margaritaville tapes in circulation. I'm a big fan of Buffett's live shows, and I tape a good deal of shows myself, like Dave Matthews Band, Jason Mraz, Flecktones, etc. I taped a Buffett show last year at Alpine, and I still haven't really gotten around to working with it. There was some bad spells of brickwalling.

At any rate, I was curious to see how many "stealth" audio recordings are circulating. That would be recordings made at the concert with microphones. The quality of the Radio Margaritaville shows is pretty awful, at least to an audiophile.

Thanks!
Peace,

There aren't a lot of good ones by your standards. There are several older ones that I like but I don't think of myself as an audiophile. To my knowledge, Buffett has never supported the notion of a taping section.

Nah, he never has. But that hasn't stopped me in the past. Seriously, I wish he would just open up the doors to tapers. He's already giving it all away on the 'net. Let us hardcores do it up proper!

Whatever remote chance there was of that happening was lost when he started selling the live CDs.
