The security at Auburn Hills was pretty tight. They had you empty your pockets and my hubby had to go back to the car with this little swiss army knife (the tiny one with the scissors). They also used the wands. I think the security depends on the venue. At Chicago I was patted down by hand

in chicago at the World ( yes i know its called tweeter, but we still dont call it by that name out here)----they have always patted you down. I know at the thursday night show they did, the saturday show---well getting into the place is still a bit hazy to me. But at all the other concerts ive seen there, they have done a pat down, except one---and that was farm aid 97.

I guess the effects of Sept 11th are everywhere. But I still don't believe that it's a 'new world since 9-11.' It's the same dangerous world, but now we're just more aware of the dangers. It's hard for sane people to understand what not-so-sane people are capable of.

Mlps it was just a pat down. I got in early to catch Club Trini but I spoke to someone who came in later and there was a backup.

SirGumby - Did your recording of Detroit turn out? I saw where some were having trouble with it.

Hi all. I came in late (driving home from Las Vegas). What's this about MSG possibly not being broadcast on Friday?!?

Regarding bootlegging, Jimmy can't be too upset by it since at his East Hampton show when he was going to do one of his new numbers he told all the bootleggers to get their recorders ready! He knows we will buy the new CD even if and maybe because we've gotten a chance to hear it on some of the concert recordings.

(Darn I wish I knew Spanish--He always says a bunch of stuff in front of this song - Desperation Samba-- and I haven't a clue what it is)

Thanks for the Spanish translation AV8N (cute name)

I joined up late tonight because I was in a class. I hadn't heard about the MSG maybe not being broadcast either. Hope that is not the case.

When do you think we will know about MSG? I need to make plans!! I want to make sure I'm going to be home in time if the concert is on. I can't miss the last one.
