to bart and ga buffet fan

which side of venue did you guys enter on?
I actually was shocked that me,my wife and 8 others went in untouched- we were not frisked or anything- our tickets were checked 3times-but we were never frisked which I found odd- we went in on the lakewood ave (the BIG parking lot) side.
peace

GaBuff: I'm thinkin' they don't ask ladies that are as EAGER as you! Judgin' from the lot at StarLake...LOTS of folks were liftin' their shirts, and NOT just to get in the gate! (tee-hee). Ask Thelma & Louise (NO they weren't doin' it, we were all gigglin' at them what was!)
VolcanoLady: I appreciate your thought behind the '30 only' idea, but it wouldn't work, hon. At least, it wouldn't accomplish your goal! There are PLENTY of doo-doo heads over 30 (besides, then Timmy & some of the other post-ers here wouldn't get in & that would be a shame.) What they need is a personality detector! If you don't have one, you don't get in! ;)
^^'s up! (what songs did Mac play on? I can't figure it from the set list...thanks!)

We went into the entrance right where Club Trini was playing. After being told my tickets were fakes by 2 people I raised hell and got their supervisors supervisor to confirm that they were real before I almost hit the guy. After that we were searched 2-3 timesand frisked then they found our camera. Instead of being nice about it the guy goes "Go back to your car NOW or your not coming in"....and kinda pushed us back. After we returned from our 2 mile walk to the car once again we had to prove our tickets were real to the SAME ticket taker that hassled us before. Then after that 5 minute ordeal a new security guard hassled us once again. Dont get me wrong I loved the show but Ill be damned if I EVER go to Lakewood again after all that crap. Were Parrotheads, this was not a Ozzy Osbourne concert. Ive been searched less at an international airport! Finz up gang and see ya in Raleigh in August!

I thought the behavior in the parking lot was much worse on Thursday, but we may have just found the right spot Saturday. Did anyone see the drunk idiot with a gun on Thursday? He was escorted away in cuffs. They didn't ruin my time, but I hope they're all in reform school next year when the concert rolls around.

What a concert! How 'bout that moon? Buffett and the Reefers, including Clint (with his cute grin)were all fantastic.

Please someone make me feel better and tell me you heard Buffett say "see you next year" at one of his concerts. Please.

I attended the show at Lakewood the 15th I think Jimmy was dead on..one of the best shows Ive seen. A few things I need to address here though. Im 20 years old and this was my 9th Buffett show, I understand why everyone is displeased with the crowd containing some young college aged kids who are drinking and just there to drink. I sat beside several attendees whom were my parents age and the guy in front of my complimented me on being my age and knowing the lyrics to EVERY song Jimmy played Saturday nite. I had one problem at Lakewood however. The security and gate staff were extremely rude and very unhelpful to me upon entering the faculity. Ive never encountered this at a concert of any bands before. I work at Blockbuster Pavilion in Charlotte NC, where I reside, and was shocked at the way I was treated by the staff at Lakewood. I was wondering if anyone had a mailing address that I could mail a letter to addressing my concerns. Other than that the show was awesome! Great to see Mac back for a show and I was pleasantly surprised by Clint's mannerisims and talent on stage with Jimmy. A Pirate Looks at 40 with Clint accoustic was simply breathtaking. Finz up gang and see everyone at Alltel Pavilion in August!

Holly, do you think he meant "See ya next year", when he said "See ya next time"? He did. Didn't he? I know he did. I feel better now. Thanks.

What remark did Jimmy make about Alabama??

In introducing Gypsies in the Palace, he said it was time for a little culture (meaning the poem he has used before to begin the song (In days of old when knights were bold...). He got booed. He responded something like "this audience must be from Alabama." Not his precise words, but that's the gist.

Just a quick question! Can anybody tell me how I can find out about the music they played before the concert Thurs? There was some good stuff on there. Not as good as JB, of course, but good.

AS A PIRATE WHO WILL LOOK AT 40 IN SEPT. I THOUGHT JB WAS VERY ON AND INTO THE CROWD. I HAVE BEEN A PH FOR 25 YEARS, THIS SHOW HITS NEAR THE TOP. I AGREE WITH THE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE ANTI-PH-YOUTH. FIND ANOTHER SHOW TO DRINK AND PUKE AT.I RECENTLY ATTENDED A PHISH SHOW AT LAKEWOOD. THE CROWD, WHILE YOUNG, WERE MUCH BETTER BEHAVED.FINS UP TILL THE END. SHADY T
