I was thinking the same thing.
I met a new shirt at Christmas but I wouldn't say we're dating yet. Still kinda wary; feeling each other out.

I've got a couple of new sweaters to "try out" but I need to break up with a couple of my old sweaters first. There just isn't enough room in my life for my old and new sweaters.

and breaking up is hard to dooooo
Let's all sing along!
I'm sure the old sweaters will understand. Sometimes you just want to be Just Friends...
I'm trying to break up with a lot of my old clothes. If the food police have their way I will be down nearly 45 pounds by the end of February and hope to meet a lot of new shirts.

True. I want them to move on and go and meet other people.

How appropriate that with all this talk about breaking up with your old shirts and sweaters, I'm listening to a Grace Potter & The Nocturnals concert and the song that just came on is
Apologies.
He said it's crazy
How love stays with me
You know it hurts me
That i didn't figure it out before
And now it's too late for a soliloquy
It's way too late for dignity
It's time for apologies

Larry, she's playing a show here tonight...went to her New years show a couple years ago...the one they show on PBS...we were front row, right by her.

Chris, I need to start checking the website for tour dates more often. I found out they were playing a small hall here in NYC, about 4 or 5 days after the show.
When I saw them back in February, Grace did that song
Apologies solo on a big old beautiful Steinway grand piano. Highlight of the show, what a great song.

If she plays up here again, I'll shoot you a PM....you would've had fun at the show she did on the waterfront last summer...from what I remember it was really a good show, with Mike Gordon (of Phish) opening up.
I'll also try and find the old CDs I have of her...the ones she used to sell at her shows at the local bars when she was just a bar band....I'll make you copies if I can find them.

I just got a Blackhawks home jersey 88 - Patrick Kane (red)....
That said first time I've seen this thread one thing I've always wondered is why no one EVER mentioned a "wet T-Shirt" contest on ANY pages of this thread

... Of course now that I think about it that might make the shirt mad

Got two cheap dates today at Salvation Army store. I cruise the store every couple of months or so to see what they have in the way of Hawaiian made aloha shirts. Found two today. (I get to look in a new size category

)
One is a really wild 60's retro look ...and I don't know what designer since the shirt has its "made in Hawaii tag" but not the designer tag. And a muted blue reverse print number that goes well with jeans.
Oh and it was 5 pieces of clothing for 5 dollars day today. So along with the Liz Claiborne pants I found in what I hope will be an interim size for me I only spent 3 dollars. (The clerk whispered to me that they were only supposed to do the $1.00 deal if you bought 5 items....but since I didn't even know about the sale and hadn't picked out 5 she gave me the dollar a piece anyway.)
Wooo Hooo! I love cheap dates!

Since we've brought back this thread, I feel the need to confess. I have two shirts that I keep "waiting in the wings." They look so good that I want to get them on, but I'm saving them for hard times. Right now my husband makes sure I have plenty of shirts to keep me goin', but who knows with this economy. I may have to pull out those shirts after all. I hate to "string" them along anyway.
