I have a beautiful new pink shirt with my mini-golf logo on the back, and my lovely Snowparrot avatar on the front.
Watch for it in Detroit!

Reyn and I are on intimate terms. [smilie=battingeyes.gif] I date Reyn at least three times a week.

Admittedly different Reyns though.

There are at least 20 Reyn's residing in my bedroom. :D

I have a rule about aloha shirts...I only buy them at 2nd hand stores (my husband and I recently thinned out our collection of 70 down to 50) so I only own one Reyn but are hoping to date many more in the future.

All of my Reyns had previous dates. I get them from E-bay, the Salvation Army store and Goodwill. It is amazing how many people go to Hawaii, date a shirt for a luau and when they get back to Michigan decide they will never date that shirt again and abandon it in the Goodwill store. :o They all look like they never dated before.

Hey some I've found at the Goodwill still had their original tags on them. Can you imagine dating a shirt with the tags still on? Shameful!

The Goodwill stores in Washington, Oregon and California are picked over all the time by people who go there just to buy the Hawaiian shirts and send them back to Hawaii to be sold to tourist on the beach. There is no telling how many times a particular shirt has been bought and sold in this manor.

Some are just looking for the right home. I know we found a beautiful one for Mongo (Connies son) at the Goodwill near us and there's no way it's gonna end up dating anyone else.

Well, looks like the time has come to quit dating a few of my old shirts...
Most of them are t-shirts, and from various places, concerts and such. All Buffett related.

BUT... I was thinking about a way that I could still have them in my life as I love each and every one of them.
I'm thinking about cutting them up and making a quilt out of them! That way I could still be with them.. :D

Has anyone else done this? and any advise? Should I back up the cut out parts with some more material before I piece them together? Some of the t-shirts are old, and rather thin..
