As I posted above twice before, I felt that Jimmy should mix up the shows a bit. I will admit that it is one of the better concerts in terms of variety of songs from different albums. Hes got many albums represented in the set lists, and what I think are the best songs from the albums. For example, Island, Holiday, thats what living is to me, jolly mon, great heart, and knees of my heart. I think he should continue to open with "knees" cause the opening of the song flows right from the kinja band dancing, and the drum playing.
If you look at all 7 shows, he ends the first set with One particular, closes with Slow Boat, and the same songs are played, with a few minor variations, but for the most part the closing encores depending on whether its a saturday night or not. Would be nice to keep us guessing a bit. or close on a more upbeat song. I can proudly say, that I stood and Sang for with all his songs, fast/and slow. I agree, that if you were a new Buffett fan, you might be wondering what song am I listening too? Why is he not playing boat drinks or something from Songs you know by heart. If you listen to his Sag Harbour Show from Long Island, He comments on how he really enjoys playing his older music, the more obscure stuff. but that in his big summer shows really require him to appeal to those who have jumped on the Parrothead Wagon to play the usually crowd favorites. Which is fine with me. My motto is, when Jimmy Sings, I will listen. IM kinda hoping he'll go way back on of these shows, and play Capt and the Kid, or Elis Dee, from "Down to Earth" album. Been fortunate enough to see him4 times already, with 3 more shows in August. I hear Clint is working a new song into the show, I think it would be nice to see him on stage with that cute wife of his, singing his hit song "I Do."Wish there was more of a harmonica presence on stage, not really seeing that much of that this year. Fingers we miss you. and I miss my friend Mac, In the city isnt the same with out you.

Shady,
Sorry, I won't be going to MPP this or any year if I can help avoid it. I don't know if you've ever been there or been there lately, but it's a dump and the Howard County Gestepo are just peeing their pants in anticipation of harassing phans again this year. But you're always welcome to a blue margarita and to Nissan. I very well may be heading up to Starlake next year to see in person those crazy sisters and their sidekick, ohio.
Karenbnsoul,
I was disconnected from RM during One Particular Harbor and never did get into the chat room. And when I tried to post on the disc. board, it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow, I fell asleep. But I did hear Jimmy yell "Toga, toga, toga!" and wondered if Thelma and Louise had somehow gotten up on stage. I'm going to try to listen tonight.

I think I may be confused. (which is very easily attained for me at times)
The chat room I'm talking about is the one I created on AOL (category: Places room name: RadioMvilleConcert).
Apparently there is also a chat room through this website which I am unaware of. Can someone please enlighten me about this?
If the chat room affiliated with this web site can't be accessed, any AOL members can stop by the room I created. We had up to 7 in there last Tuesday, and we're really having a lot of PHun at our "cyber concerts". ("someone" has been know to be standing at "her" puter, dancing and typing at the same time)
<:-) Fins over my head........Karen

Saw the shows at Nissan this year. Thought they were great! The party the Phclubs put on Friday at Sully's was awesome. Never been to Merriweather Post. Am planning to make the show on 8/26. What's the problem with that place? I've heard some gripes from the phlock about it. By the way, Clint Black was very well received by the ph's at Nissan. Great applause and fan reaction.Been a PH since the 70's. Still think the early shows were better. "You Had to be there"..still the best JB album (us old guys call them albums) of all time. Just remember, any JB show is fantastic! He still is having fun and the voice is stil there, unlike a lot of early rockers. Going to see David Claton Thomas and BS&T tonight..another 70's rocker who's voice is still there.

Thursday show was great!!!! To the people that were in the parking lot- we are looking for the windsurfing sail and all the other stuff that was up in the air towards the middle of the parking lot. It seems that when we went into the show somebody decided they wanted it an stole everything windsurfing sail, board and banners!! You could imagine the buzz kill we I returned to my vehicle. I am sure parrotheads would never do this. So remember to lock everything up when you go into the show because there are people out there waiting for you to leave! If anybody saw people taking this stuff during the show- please email me!!!! This stuff has been going with me for over 10 years and never a problem.

I heard you, I think... were you the guy Jimmy said to "We actually got one who can SING!" or something like that. You were great!
If you were quicker... you could have downloaded the concert from Bob's Buffettonline site... but it's been taken down. I don't know where else to tell you to look, except keep to checking RadioMargaritaville for the re-broadcast schedule.
