My regular "house beer" is Becks lager. I like the German style beers, St. Pauli Girl, Spaten, etc.
To treat myself I keep around Dinkel Acker Dark (my all-time favorite)
As well as Dos Equis Amber, Sam Adams and Yuengling. For my wife, unfortunately the fridge is tainted by Miller Lite.
I prefer beer in bottles and, if only Corona or Bud is available, thanks, but I'll have seltzer.

mmmm..... beer.....
hands down - yuengling when i am in a city that has it. still trying to figure out how to get it shipped to me in texas.

Glad to see so much love on here for Yeungling Lager. Its nice to see our Pa. brew being enjoyed by alot of people. I remember a few years ago before they opened up there facility in Florida I had to take cases with me when we traveled pass the Mason Dixon line to go on vacation. MMm makin me thirsty. Is it to early for one?

I also find it interesting that Yuengling has developed such a strong following across the country. Being a Pennsylvania native I just assumed it was enjoyed more regionally. But, as their ads say, they are the oldest brewery in America.....

Yeah me too. I also recall my mother saying when she was young it was the cheap beer to drink if you didnt have alot of money on you. Kind of a last resort beer.

Which beer I am drinking depends on what's available and where I'm at.
In Alaska, after a day of fly fishing from dawn till dinner time, you can't beat Alaskan Amber. Goes down great and goes with pretty much any huge dinner which is a necessity after 12 hours of slogging around a 60 degree river.
At home in Michigan - Traverse City Sleeping Bear Brown Ale is a pint of heaven during the fall and winter.
In summer, any decent wheat beer (I prefer Paulaner's version) with a slice of lemon. Yummmy. Or Red Stripe cuz it's crisp, clear and great "lawnmower" beer.
There's a great outdoor bar in Scottsdale that serves Fat Tire in 32 oz. bottles. That's a great beer for sitting around their campfires on a brisk Arizona night in January or February listening to some half drunk band crank out covers.
Belize's Belikin is a great beer after a day of fishing or snorkeling or doing whatever in Placencia or San Pedro.
And - drinking Anchor Steam while devouring dungeness crab at SFO's Fisherman's Pier - another slice of heaven in a glass.
I am a sucker for mixed drinks, though. Some don't care for em but I think a good Mojito is itself a work of art in a glass. Or just a glass of a decent rum in a glass on the rocks on a summer night. YUMMY!

Pittsburgh here....I have no idea if Cleveland area is carrying it as of yet. When I was there a few years back, they did not, guess it was an import!
Yeungling is varied in states, catch it when you can!

Ok so here's a question for the beer drinkers, what is a good beer to start with as a beginner? I had a really bad experience with beer (amongst other things) in high school and haven't touched the stuff since, but I would like to try some again. Any suggestions? (I know I'm a pastor and all, but John Wesley drank beer and if it's ok with him it's ok with me )

Miller light or Coors light are probably good starting points.
Michelob Ultra would also be an excellent 'starter beer'
Many of the microbrews and dark beers mentioned above are a much fuller flavor, and usually a little too much for people not used to full flavored beers.

, however the closest I can currently get it is 50 miles south and only by the 6-pack cold so I instead drive 120 miles south so that I can pick it up by the case warm and then I also get cases of Honey Weiss

Well, if you have a brewery/restaurant (similar to Boston Beerworks --
http://www.beerworks.net/) they have different styles of beer you can try.

Pretty much all the beer I drink regularly were the ones SGH posted back on page one, but my all time favorite beer is....
TIGER BEER
Brewed in Singapore, but sold ALL OVER Southeast Asia, and is the most popular beer on that side of the world. In my opinion, best beer I have ever tasted. You can get it in the U.S. more regularly now.
Also like these from Japan, all available in the U.S.:
Sapporo
Kirin
My last favorite:
Thai beer. Available in the U.S.
Also, throught I would bring this up for giggles:
Antarctica Pilsen. I had this in Brazil. It is weak and goes down like water, but it is cheap and does the job
