Hello!
Today is National Cocktail Day.......Celebrate all your favorite cocktails on March 24th. National Cocktail Day ushers in all the best ways to savor a beverage at the end of a long workday. Whether you like a fruity drink, blended or on the rocks, this day is for you. Mocktail, virgin, or the real thing, celebrate the lemon, lime, bitters, liquors, and liqueurs that make your favorite beverages the best in your bartender book.
It's probably no surprise that nearly every month on the calendar celebrates a cocktail. The only exception is April, and since it's National Alcohol Awareness Month, it makes sense to take that month off.
What's yours.....obviously mine is a margarita with salt salt & salt

.
Enjoy your Mocktail or Cocktail wherever you are.

Good morning Linda. I can't remember the last time I had a cocktail, beer is my drink of choice.
I had a doctor's appointment this morning, I lost another 2 pounds since my last appointment 6 months ago. Beer and burgers is the way to go.

But my cholesterol went up, I'll be getting my first prescription medication.

Welcome to my world... I blame my father for inheriting many of his ailments..
Good morning Linda and Larry!
I love several cocktails, margaritas, martinis, and various other things.. But mostly I drink flavored vodka's over ice. Simple and tasty.
Packing more glasses today, some I'm just saving, and some for daily usage. I didn't feel like another trip to Home Depot, so I ordered some more bubble wrap from Amazon.

Both of my parents had high cholesterol. My mother's cholesterol was ridiculously high, no matter what type of medication they gave her it never came down even close to normal levels. My doctor has been telling me that my cholesterol was borderline high but nothing to worry about for about 2 years. I guess it crossed the border this year.

I was diagnosed with high cholesterol many yrs ago. At 125 lbs (I'm now 130) and when I was at the gym 3x wk. When my results got to the dr office they called and asked if I would consider exercise and changing my diet. I asked the nurse if they looked at my file.....she put me on hold, came back and said "oh - never mind, your are so high that even those 2 things, which it appears you do, won't bring you down more than 10 points (my number was almost 280). "She said - that's hereditary for you. We'll call in a script

."

Hi Kids!
I am also part of the high cholesterol club. Like others, it runs in my family and even when I was walking and exercising every day and a healthier weight, I still needed meds to manage it.
Good to know it is National Cocktail Day as I have a planning meeting tonight for our union negotiations. A bit of rum and some flavored soda water may be necessary. I have moved away from soda and actually don’t mind some of the bubly flavored waters.
For those of you with 20 something’s in your family, just a reminder that the Hannah Montana 20 year special is in today. My girl kid has been on Disney binging old episodes to prepare. We did a LOT of Hannah Montana in her early elementary years.

I was diagnosed over 20 years ago, and my level was 325. I got it down to 168, but lately it's been just above 200. Doc wants me to come in on April 7th, and I think we'll change the RX I've been on for those same 20 years..

Hey Mel!!
Funny, my sister and 2 of my 3 brothers didn't get it from my Dad... And I saw that Hannah Montana special when I was changing channels on ROKU..

Hi there! I signed up for a 3 year bank contract at 4.4% today. Their best6 cd rate was 3.3%. The vast bodyypainter fortune continues to grow!
I pruned an apple tree using a step ladder and a repo saw. That was tiresome. The knee did OK, but the bad shoulder did not like the effort. Fortunately, we are not yard rats. i can leave all the pruned branches lay for weeks before I gather them.By then I must do it so I can mow.

I think the last cocktail I had was a few months ago, when our friends came over with some "Rhum from the Caribbean" that they brought back from their trip to St. Kitts. It was delicious. We made sure to have some "Burgundy from France" with dinner that evening to complete the lyric!
I
may be joining the "cholesterol meds" club next month when I see my doctor. I've been "borderline" for a while... but ever since my fainting episode in December, my husband has been adamant about my eating lunch every day, (
which I did not usually do before).

That has resulted in an extra 5lbs I do NOT need. Because of that, I fear my number will be increased...

But now that the weather is improving, I am hoping some longer walks on the finally snow-free SNETT will remove those pounds, so
maybe she will cut me some slack and wait for a recheck again in October... we'll see.

Good that you took care of the yard stuff, Bill. Just don't overdo it.
We're all (mostly) seem to be part of the Cholesterol club, these days!
