Good morning BN. I haven't had them since childhood, but I loved those crispy, pungent rectangles coated with ketchup and tartar sauce.

Good morning Bill and BN!
A bit of laundry this morning, and some financial things to do..
It's actually chilly and cloudy today... much different than yesterday. And back to warmth tomorrow.
And I NEVER liked fish sticks, the frozen kind that is.. Fresh fish? Yeah.

Good morning Bill and Penny.
Back in the late 1990s the New York Islanders changed their logo. Their original logo was a circle with the outline of Long Island inside it and ISLANDERS underneath it. There was also an NY with the long side of the Y shaped like a hockey stick. They changed it to a fisherman in foul weather gear holding a hockey stick. They wore those uniforms for 2 years and I'm pretty sure they finished in last place both years. They were mocked terribly, people started calling them the Fish Sticks because they thought the logo looked like the Gorton fisherman on frozen food packages. It's probably one of the worst logos in sports history.

Hi Kids!!!
Today is my first day of spring break!!! I celebrated by doing some laundry and paying some bills like Penny. Did a bit of shopping and now I am being lazy waiting for the washer to finish.
Cold but sunny here. Might go out to Costco in a bit, but maybe not. Kinda enjoying doing a bit of nothing.
I haven’t had fish sticks in forever. Maybe I will grab some when I hit the grocery store.

Me too! Me too! When I was a kid, it was always a treat when we had them. One time when MrsSPH and I were grocery shopping I saw them in the frozen food case and suggested that we get them. The look of horror that I got in return was one that I won't forget... I think it might be her Catholic upbringing and that they had them a lot on Fridays and considered them more like punishment than treat?
The sewer repair guys start next Wednesday. I called three places for bids; the first one was $26.8K, the second one was $9.8K, and I'm still waiting for the third one that I was supposed to get three days ago*. I'm going with the second one (DUH!). They're an established local business with good reviews and they guarantee their work for 20 years. I did the math: I'm almost 76, so 20 years oughta be good enuff....
*I call it JOHNSON'S FIRST RULE OF HOME REMODELING: You will be stiffed or stood up by at least one contractor for every job you endeavor to undertake.

Hey everyone! I slept in until 8:45. We hustled around and hit the beach at 11. We stayed 3 hours and It was beautiful.
Back home we worked in the garage a little and a neighbor is buying one of our $135 shelving units we no longer at a greatly reduced price of $40.
Tomorrow I’m going to the local high schools FFA plant sale together their prices are amazing and it’s a great cause. Then I’ll head to a “yoga” friends house for an afternoon if “Bunco”. A game I’ve never heard of

I remember that logo change quite well... It. Was. HORRENDOUS!! And deserved those Gorton's cracks!
As to fish sticks... I don't think I have ever made them myself, but growing up, we had them occasionally on Lenten Fridays. We normally had flounder, clam fritters, or eggplant parmigiana instead.

Oh well, Saturday is here.
Nothing else to report other than minor medical stuff that no one would be too interested in.
Oh! A big outing opportunity has arisen! Shopping, yay!
I want my rock'n'roll life back!
