It's a beautiful day in our neighborhood. We will have a low key day. Nothing special planned for this mom as it's Bike Week and we won't venture out except for church which appears to be the 10:45 service since Kevin is still sleeping .

I made a card for the Mum today. Got up around 4am this morning, cutting away at red paper. She loved it...green floral cover with a little fold out flower on the inside

The Hurricanes won last night, now they get a few days off. They play the winner of the Buffalo-Montreal series next, the 3rd game of that series is tonight and it's tied 1-1 so it will go at least 5 games.

The Hurricanes are the 5th team in NHL history to start the playoffs with 8 consecutive wins. Three of the other 4 went on to win the Stanley Cup and the 4th made it to the final round of the playoffs then lost. Even with the 8 game winning streak I'm worried. Their 3 top goal scorers in the regular season combined to score 90 goals. So far in the playoffs they have 5.

Hiya Larry!! I must have jinxed my Avalanche yesterday.

Just got back from the park, it was a beautiful day for a leisurely stroll. On the way home I was stopped at a red light and there was a group of guys on motorcycles in the left turn lane. One of them was doing donuts while they were stopped. Maybe I'm missing something but, what's the point?

I went to a biker weekend once and people took delight in doing burn outs, placing their front wheel in a corner and revving the bike in gear till their tires smoked. Moe rons.

I cleaned out the garden pond which has a liner and rescued 15 golfish,3 frogs and i salamander from the glop in the deep end. After refilling the pond all Denison's are back

We decided to join neighbor friends at the beach. Parking was harder than usual but the beach really wasn’t that crowded. Seems folks were making good use of the pavilions and tree shaded grilling areas. We ended up there for 3 hrs.

Kevin grilled a T-bone steak and marinated shrimp for dinner. Yummmm.

I’m on the porch listening to the tree and bullfrogs making quite the racket. The sun has set but everyone’s solar fence posts lights (ours are plain white but others have colored) are just starting to go on which makes the pond look cool.

Happy Mother's Day to all of you mothers I survived the week and now I'm back at it.

I apologise for the tardy reply, however, we've been away for a few days staying on a sheep station. We stayed in a century old stone farm cottage, the views were spectacular!
