Good morning all!!

Good to be back home again. Last night I slept over 10 hours (some on the couch, most in bed).

Just gonna do some laundry today.

Aww, my sister just texted me that when they, and the dogs, woke up this morning, the dogs went running back to the bedroom I stayed in looking for me. That made me happy.

I waited all day yesterday and the plumber never showed up. I called the office this morning and the woman I spoke to said the person who set up my appointment only did it for the HVAC, not the plumbing. I've had my service contract with this company for more than 10 years and I always had both maintenance appointments on the same day. She said they could get me on the schedule for this afternoon. I hope someone shows up in the early part of my window of opportunity, it's a nice day and I don't want to be stuck inside all day again.

The Hurricanes did their best to blow the game last night but they won in overtime. This is the 4th round of the playoffs, the second game in each round has gone into overtime and they won all 4 of them, plus 2 other overtime games. Vegas had been undefeated in overtime in the playoffs until last night. Now the series is tied 1-1 and they head to Vegas for games 3 and 4.

Business partner is off today so flying solo at the office. Had 3 business clients on the docket to stop in today & all 3 have already
made their way in so expecting a verrry quiet day the rest of the way. Of course, now that I've said that out loud via my keyboard....................

You can thank me for the Canes rally last night Larry. I just got done texting my hockey buddy about how much Vegas with the 2-0 lead had stymied Carolina the whole game, giving them hardly any scoring opportunities. Thus the jinx had been initiated for Vegas. Bingo bango & it was 2-1, then 2-2, then the odd turn of events that led to the Carolina PP goal that made it 2-3. Then 3-3 going to OT. Quite thankful it was a short OT before Carolina scored. When OT drags on you always have to decide how late you watch before you pull the plug. But Would have been fun to be in the rink when that winning goal happened. I remember back in my younger days when rooting for the home minor league team & how ecstatic the crowd would get during the OT playoff game victories. Unfortunately our minor league team had more of a habit of LOSING those playoff OT games, but I digress

The plumber just called and said he's on the way. The sun should still be shining when he's finished.

We had our hottest day of the year on Tuesday (87°) and the forecast for tomorrow is rain and 57°... Denver weather!

I am playing hooky this afternoon—I have had about all the work I can handle this week, and it is Margaritaville night at Comerica. I almost typed out Tiger Stadium

Hoping the rain holds off. I am going since I want my mville Tiger shirt AND between my ticket and parking, I am in close to $70

MLB games aren’t cheap like they were in the 80’s. We could park for like $5, snag a bleacher seat for $8, and complain about paying $7.50 for a 20 ounce beer. Those were the days….

Plumber's gone, now I can get outside and enjoy the heat. He's been here before, heavyset guy who is the stereotype of the jolly fat man. Nice guy but he talks nonstop.
