Good Morning BN :)

Give it all you've got today -- no matter how much that is or even if it's just to an audience of one.

Good morning Linda!Linda!Linda! and others to follow.....
Cool and gray and a chance of showers (again...) Summer is said to begin in Seattle on July 5th.

Playin' to an audience of one
Better than an audience of none
Playin' to an audience somewhere
Better than a bunch of folks not there
You can still have a lot of fun
Givin' it all you've got for an audience of one

I really like this song, and its sentiments.

Good morning Linda, Mr. SPH, and BN!

Nothing on the agenda today, so I'll give 'nothing' my all. ;)

Thanks for the song, Mr. SPH. I forgot about that song, but I like it, too.

Had to order a new printer yesterday. I got it to work, but I need more than JUST a printer/copier. I need a scanner and a fax, as well. A lot of things I'm dealing with need these features and I don't want to keep running up to the UPS store and paying for them to do it for me.

Have a good Thursday!!

Good afternoon.

I give it all I've got to live the life of a retired southern gentleman every day. That's what I'll be doing today. 8)

It is so hot! Celebrating my grand son Lake's 17th birthday tonight. Tomorrow the family is
having a lamb roast at my sister's house. She has a huge backyard pool.
But it is just so freaking hot out! :(

Sounds great, John! Except for the heat. It's currently 75 here, only going to be in the mid 80's. :)

Good afternoon gang! Soon to leave the comfortable confines of the Air Conditioned office & venture out into the 93+ degree sunshine in a matter of minutes. Unfortunately haven't received any pool invites today so I guess it's go home & lock myself into the shades drawn dark house with my A/C set at 77 & call it good. There is a concert in the park in nearby Fenton with a classic rock band named 3rd Degree Burns, aptly named for this evening.
Gonna be a pass for me though.

Well, I gave more than I got a few minutes ago. I went and picked up Sarah, as she had another migraine sneak up, and she couldn't drive. So I brought her back to my place, and then Cameron got off of work about 30 minutes later. Cameron and I walked back up to his store, and snagged Sarah's car (formerly MY car), picked her up at my place, and drove them home. Then Cameron walked with me back to my place. Definitely got my steps in today. :D

I saw him several times back in the 70s, he was so smooth!

Hi kids!

It is still Hot Hot Hot like Ken said. Got some errands run and now I am sitting on the patio after floating for a bit in my cheesy blow up pool. My neighbors laugh at me, but that little $30 gem is perfect for me.

3rd Degree Burns is a great collaborative group, Ken!! It is kids who audition then learn and move up to the performance band—there are three levels, hence the 3rd Degree. The Burns came as they were describing as “burning up the stage” once and it stuck. A friend of mine’s son was the drummer a few years back. He has since graduated and is now in another band that is prepping to be the warm up to a band maybe at Pine Knob? Anyway, that band has been a great place for many kids to find their passion.

I agree, though. A dark air conditioned house sounds much better than being in this heat. Although, how many times did we all do it for Buffett??? This is perfect Buffett tailgate weather.

And I love your pool idea!! If I had a yard, I'd do the same thing. :D

When you guys had the pool liner in the back of the truck it sure was.
Thanks for the heads up on the band. I’ve noticed the name around for quite awhile but had no clue on their background.
I figured the Burns part probably referred to a couple of people named Burns in the group. Off base on that one!

I had a neighbor that got one of those little 3' plastic wading pools and put it on his deck and filled it with ice and beer and then would say "we're out by the pool, drinking beer...." 8)
