Another Saturday morning at the MSC…..

Morning kids!!!
Super excited that our Air Quality Index has dropped below 100 for the first time in several days here! It actually looks clear outside, and I felt like I could take a deep breath and not choke. I can’t imagine what it has been like for those nearer to the fires—especially those who have had total devastation of their homes and communities.
One of my dear friends is holding her annual beach party today. I am sure I have told this story before, but about 20 years ago, she and her hubby got fed up with our short summers. They fenced in their back yard and brought in truckloads of sand. They put in a pool and built a tiki bar so they could have their own oasis to enjoy. Over the years they have changed and upgraded and now have an outdoor kitchen and fire pit with a circle of porch swings around it. Every year they throw a beach party, which has become kind of a reunion of old friends. Always a good time, and I am glad the weather will be good.
Other than that, just the usual here. Some coffee, some chores, some laundry, and some lounging before I whip up fresh salsa and guac to take to the shin dig.

Good morning Mel and BN!
I do remember the beach party, and think it's a great idea!!
Nothing going on here - I did a fair bit of home stuff yesterday, so I'm good to be lazy today.
Ran to the mailbox early this morning as I had some prescriptions delivered, and they take up a lot of space in the small box.
Have a good Saturday!!

Good morning Mel and Penny.
It's only 88 degrees but the heat index is already over 100.
I took a closer look at the Golden Knights schedule, I can't go to my usual Dec 23 game but they play Edmonton in April near the end of the season. Connor McDavid plays for Edmonton, he's one of the best players in the world and I've never seen him play. I could go to that game and keep my streak alive of seeing a different opponent in every game.

I vote for that game, Larry.

Good afternoon Larry, Penny, and Mel!
Was a little smoky earlier. Now we've got some rain. Slow day it seems here @ the MSC...
I've been trying to imitate Alan Wake's style of writing. Very simple, rudimentary stuff. From a game I played two years ago.

We got up had breakfast and went to the pool with neighbors. The water was great.
So far the “mom” across from us has no go fund me donations for “a move to a place that has mental health services for me and my family”. Now she says she has PTSD. She has 5k followers and we don’t know why. She pretty much just reposts reals. Some are very “raunchy and she usually posts in “gangster” language.
Anywho. The beat goes on.

Hey Jerry!

I've been mending some clothes today. Cleaning out the fridge, too.. I don't eat much these days, and seems I have too many things in the fridge, so going through expiration dates and such.

Evening all...
We have an air quality alert here, even though the air looked clear this morning. I am hoping the rain we just had will "wash" the problematic particulates out...
The index is even higher where my daughter lives... hopefully she will heed it and stay inside as she is prone to lung issues.
Not much else going on here... just watching the 3rd place FIFA game over my laptop screen as I type this!

Hope your daughter will do okay!!
Rain? What is that?
The last time measurable rain fell generally across the Denver metro area was on July 3, 2026, when around 0.09 inches of precipitation were recorded. Since then, the city has experienced an extended dry, hot heat wave with only highly isolated or scattered thunderstorms
THO!! We're looking at the possibility Tuesday-Friday. Fingers crossed.

One of the highest scoring world cup games I've seen! I'm cheering for England.
When you shout "Let's go France," it doesn't ring as nice as "Let's go England!" I kid, mostly

Sorry, I must be an odd one out... I'm not a fan of soccer. Didn't grow up with it, so it just doesn't flip my switch, sports wise.
