Good morning BN! :)

It was nice to finally get some rain yesterday. I just wish it had gotten to the areas with fires.

Not a lot going on for me today, just a few little chores.

If she stops by today, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAMMY!!! :D

Have a good Thursday!!

Good Morning!

It was a lovely few hours at the pool yesterday (and extra lovely since there was no one under 16 there :)). Our HOA Board has schedule a Town Hall meeting for the end of August. They are always "fun" :o

Only thing going on here today is food shopping and yoga - for me.

Have a great day everyone.

Good afternoon Penny and Linda.

I have to go online and schedule a couple of bill payments but other than that it's going to be a lazy day.

We hit 95° yesterday and 93° the day before, both record highs for the dates. It's cooling off into the 70°s today, thank goodness....
I had to go to the dentist yesterday to have an old filling that had come loose replaced. I don't know if it's a new general practice, or just 'cuz I'm 76 years old, but she took my temperature and blood pressure before giving me the shot of novocain (or lidocaine or whatever they use these days). 💉

I used to rule my world from a pay phone
Ships out on the sea
But now times are rough
And I got too much stuff
Can't explain likes of me

Well that is definitely an oldie but a goodie, Mr. SPH!! :D :D :D

And my dentist does the same thing before work is done, and they're using lidocaine these days, at least my dentist does.

It's gotten cloudy here but from what the weather guessers say we aren't going to get any rain. AGAIN.

I went to Total Wine to replenish my beer supply. I walked around, made my choice and went to the cashier. There were 2 people in front of me. I reached in my pocket to get my wallet so I would be ready to pay when it was my turn. I left my wallet home. No beer for me.

Hi there! I worked for 3 hours blocking woodchucks, mostly under my studio, and took a shower. No hot water. I called the contractor I trust, but haven't heard back yet. The guy is 73 and cutting back on work. I have a number for another local plumber if I don't hear from the first guy.

Bummer, Larry. :( Does your Total deliver? That's how I have my orders done. Mostly cause I always know what I want, and don't have to shop in the store. :)

Lovely. I just got the Jury notice from my mail, and it's scheduled for August 17th. Which is one of 5 days I'm dog sitting at my sister's house. I'm going to email the Courthouse now to let them know I'll be out of town, but happy to reschedule.

Evening BNers...
And HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAMMY!

Sorry about your hot water, Bill... :(
Do you have a separate heater or is it part of your heating system?

Penny - I've left the garage door open on occasion too... usually because something was distracting me as I left the driveway. Glad all was OK when yu got back!

Larry - Too bad about your lack of beer... but I have to say I heard "No beer for me" in my head like the old Seinfeld episode!

It's a beautiful day here, clear, dry, nd mid-70s! Perfect day to go out to dinner at a place nearby with a wonderful patio. We try to go a few times over the summer. Bonus today, since I spent it doing laundry and cleaning, so NOT cooking is a definite plus!

It;s a seperate heater, Elaine. The problem is that it's leaking a little in my already wet basement floor and I can't shut it off.

Penny, good luck with the jury duty change.

Hi Kids!!

Been rather lazy today. Had a dentist appointment this morning (all the cool kids had one today it seems). Ran some errands and got groceries. Came home and half debated cutting the grass. We got a little rain a few days ago so now the weedy parts of the grass look straggly while other parts still looks dead.

Did some gardening and cut back overgrown and past blooming plants. Came inside with a thought of running a vacuum, but decided on comfy clothes and the lounge chair. It is also a beautiful day here, so I opted to enjoy the open windows and listen to kids playing outside. My neighborhood has lots of kids who like to play outside and ride bikes. It is fun to watch them have fun together.

Tomorrow I need to be more motivated and probably water a bit. Maybe after brunch. I group of ladies I have been somewhat chatting with online are meeting at a nearby place that is supposedly out of this world for brunch. Figured it would be fun and get me out of the house.

Sorry to hear about the water heater, Bill. Nothing is a cheap fix anymore. Hoping it isn’t too much of an expense. Larry, sounds like you might need to get hip and put a credit card in your Apple wallet in your phone. I resisted it for the longest time, but it sure is convenient.

*Public Service Announcement*

As of today you will be charged 12.5% more to read my posts or to buy any Australia products and I know how much you all love Vegemite (eh, Bill?).

Now don't blame us. It's all happening at your borders by your own people. :D :D

Oh well.

It's quite a cold morning here in Frog Hollow. 0°C as we speak. We're under a blast of Antarctic air. Even the puppy has agreed to defer his morning walk.
