Good morning BN! :)

Another phlebotomy today at 1:30, so I have plenty of time to drink a lot of water.

Rain is supposed to be around today, hopefully.

That's all the excitement I have today. :P

Have a good Thursday!! :D

Good morning Penny.

The heat index is supposed to be higher today than it was yesterday.

I don't have anything to do today and I don't think I'll be looking to change that.

Ugh.... the Pacific breezes are gone and the wildfire smoke is back. :x

Don’t have to work it all out
Don’t have to tear it all apart
All you need’s a place to start

Good afternoon gang!
About to put a wrap on first day back to the office with my new set of eyes. Cataract removed on left eye Tuesday, 3 weeks after first one done .
Initial reaction......IT SUCKS!! Ok, maybe a little harsh.

Current results: Don't need any glasses for looking at distances of 5-6 feet out. Count that in the good category.
In order to read texts or other items on my cell phone, currently working with reading glasses at a +2.0. I can handle it.
In order to read text on the computer I'm currently using readers with a +1.5. Meh...doesn't seem ideal. Work in progress.
This on/off/off/on/rotating strengths is p*ssing me off though!! 1st World problems I know.
Moral of the story I guess is to stay the *)#%!!*# off my cell phone and don't do any texting or scrolling....or wait & see if the Good Lord still has some natural tweaking to do. [smilie=nod.gif]

To Be Continued............

Tigers Win!!! Look out White Sox!! 2.5 games back.

Don't get TOO frustrated, Ken. Many people have tweaking to do after their cataract surgery. I don't like the way I looked without glasses, so I'm still wearing them. It also prevents having to put readers on/off/on/off...

Soooo, I went to have my final phlebotomy and they tried SEVERAL times to get a vein(s) to work. They could get it started, but then the blood stopped flowing. It wasn't the techs fault, they tried gently (as much as they could). So I'm going to go back in 10 days to try again. (My arms look like I'm a drug addict. :P

Happy International Left-Handers Day, and Friday's Eve...

Went into the city today with the Mum, she had a mandatory PKD appointment. She got a new doctor, which was referred to her by her past one. Her name was Ann, so I said, "Wow, you must be pretty famous in Maryland, they named a whole city after you!" Annapolis

Result came back good, but she's got to do scans every three months now. Kidney function went down from 40% to 37, which was mildly alarming to say the least. Stage 3B now, she said.

Mr. Rabbitz, it's too early for talk of Christmas.
Ken, congrats on the new eyes!

May everyone's evening be merry and temperate. :)

Both MrsSPH and I are lefties but both our she-'keets [smilie=battingeyes.gif] remain right handed.*
*Everyone is born right handed, but only the really talented individuals can overcome that terrible handicap.

Being a lefty, I told my boss this and he said "Really? I'd heard that everyone was born left-handed and remained that way until they sin."
In Australia I was called a "kinky-hander" and then I had to explain why we're called "Southpaws" in the USA.

I wish I had known today was Lefties Day, I'm left handed. So is my sister and my mother was too. My father and my brother were both right handed. When I played softball I wasn't a switch hitter but I used to take one at bat right handed every year. I had no power right handed but I got a few hits over the years.

My brother must have taught me how to bat and I'm much stronger from the right side. In my twenties I played in a couple of Jack & Jill leagues where the Jacks are supposed to bat from the opposite side (lefties bat right handed and righties bat left handed.) I would go up to the plate on the left side and then everybody would remind me that I had to bat from the other side. I'd say "oh yeah, I forgot" and then whack the ball from the right side. Quite often I heard "Jeez, I'm glad he didn't bat left handed."

I consider myself to be right-handed because it's the only hand I can write with legibly, but I do a lot of other things with my left hand, like eating or painting things I can reach easier with that hand.
My son is the same way. And in sports, he throws right-handed, but bats and plays hockey left-handed, When golfing he can use whatever clubs are available.
