Cameron and I are going to run to Trader Joe's today, and I'll see what I can get to take over to my sister's house tomorrow.
Have a booze delivery this morning, which I'm glad they're delivering, as I'm taking some of it to my sister's, and the rest to remain here for when I get back.
That's it for me! Have a good Monday!

I had sardines in my work lunch one summer in college. My mom was an excellent cook, but got on a boiled chicken liver kick and they are disgusting! I bought my own sardines instead of the other stuff.

Hiya Bill! I'm not a fan of cooked livers. But I like liverwurst, which most people don't.

Good morning. Sardines are fish so you know where I stand on this.
When I landed in Tulsa last week I went to get my rental car. I was supposed to get a Toyota Corolla or similar car. They had nothing remotely resembling a Toyota Corolla. The Enterprise agent offered me a Jeep Gladiator, which is a pickup truck. There was no way I was driving that thing. The only other vehicle they had, that's right, they only had 2 vehicles left, was a Chrysler Pacifica minivan. I took that. The rental agent told me that because of the mix up I didn't have to fill the tank when I returned the car and they wouldn't charge me for gas, he said there would be a credit on my bill. I thought he meant they would charge me for a full tank of gas and then refund it. When I returned the car and got the bil there was no charge for gas but there was a credit for $73. The hotel where I stayed had a casino, if I had known I was going to save $73 on the rental car I would have gambled a little more.

Yep, I definitely know how you feel about fish...
Great news about your rental car!! BTW - did you stay at the Tulsa Margaritaville by chance? E and I have, and I loved the place.

Stickin' food in our jeans

River Spirit Casino Resort, that's where Margaritaville is. I had a really good Cuban sandwich at Margaritaville but they had a lousy beer selection.

Mom pan fried our chicken livers as a kid, but I preferred the boiled chicken gizzards.
40 years ago Leeās famous chicken did fried gizzards in a batter. Loved them. Then they closed in our area maybe 30 years back. Just found a new location in town couple months back & Iāve been twice already!
Enjoy your 31st & final day of August everyone

Yep, I had the same sandwich, and E commented the same about the beers.

.... and the last day of summer according to the meteorological seasons calendar.
Meteorological seasons divide the year into four fixed threeāmonth periods: spring (MarchāMay), summer (JuneāAugust), autumn (SeptemberāNovember), and winter (DecemberāFebruary), each beginning on the first day of its starting month.

Hi there! I got hugs from a favorite former student who moved home. At her graduation party, her mom served Thai food. Her mom was from Thailand. I tried chicken feet because I will try almost anything. The cassarole looked like a graveyard where chickens weren't well buried. There were feet and claws sticking up all through the dish.

The last time we were in Thailand one of the local haunts had a dish that translated to "Inside Chicken".
Basically all sorts of marinated chicken offal on skewers cooked over charcoal. It was surprisingly good.
When we see chicken offal in a supermarket or restaurant we still say "inside chicken".

Evening all!
Penny - good thing your booze delivery was today! Now you can stock 2 houses!
I've only been to a TJ once or twice... I tend to be a "brand-loyal" person, and TJ's is all about their own products, which was not appealing to me.
Larry - I was wondering where you were last week... I gotta say Tulsa did not enter my mind! Score on the $73 credit... not sure if that would make up for having to drive a minivan, but I guess it was better than a pick-up!
Mr. SPH - thank you for the tunes and for the "season" graphic.
As to the liver vs sardines... give me sardines every time! They remind me of my dad also, he loved them.
Liver, however, is a HUGE NO in my book... any kind! Just the odor of it makes me nauseous!

Hey everyone!
After I returned from my morning chair yoga we spent 2.5 hrs at the beach. It was lovely!
I donāt eat any chicken āinnardsā. Never have and never will.
Weāre heading with a neighbor couple to Darlington SC on Sunday for our 1st NASCAR race. Never got that on a BINGO card . Weāre busy reading the rules on what we CAN take in. THEREāS lots of stuff!!

I'm a no on that one. "The internal organs and entrails of a butchered animal that are used as food".
