I was off yesterday, back to work today ๐Ÿ˜• Only 2 more days and then I'll be busy getting ready for my trip to Florida on Monday. I haven't flown in quite awhile so I'm starting to get a little anxious...

Good morning.

There's a chance we might have the first hurricane of the 2026 season by the end of the week. There's a tropical storm in the Gulf of Mexico that's supposed to strengthen in the next couple of days. They must recycle the names, this one is Isaias and we had Hurricane Isaias back in 2020. That one made landfall in North Carolina, this one isn't supposed to have any impact in North or South Carolina.

Coastal Carolina's baseball team has 2 games scheduled against Clemson at the Pelicans ballpark Saturday and Sunday. I was thinking of going but I'm glad I didn't buy any tickets. The forecast for the weekend is 60% chance of rain Saturday and 80% Sunday, not ideal baseball weather. โ˜” โšพ

Good morning, Tammy!! Hope the time away is a good time for you! :D
I haven't flown on my own since 1978, so I'm a little anxious about it, too!! I'm taking a cruise in December.

Morning Larry!! :) I was wondering if that storm would make it your way.

I'm making my weekly brewery visit today. The weather is really nice so they have the windows open for the outdoor bar. I'm at the indoor bar and there are 4 people right across from me at the outdoor bar. The bartender asked them if they wanted to start a tab or pay cash. One guy said they'd pay cash, then gave her a credit card. In my world, credit cards and cash are two different things. A lot of places are charging a 3% fee for using a credit card, there's no fee for paying cash.

Hi ghere! We heard one of jimmy's last shows riding around today. He sounded great!
We pay cash at several local spots knowing the tip is better for the staff.

Hi All,

Just back from a few days on a sheep property in the Flinders Ranges, here in South Australia.

One of the most beautiful parts of the Australian "outback". We stay in a 120 year old settlers cottage when we go there.

Yeah... really!
We have a call scheduled with our VIA rep (VIA a healthcare broker that Kraft set us up with upon Jim's retirement) in 3 weeks, but hopped on to their website to review things beforehand. The cheapest Rx program on their site is INSANE - over $120 per MONTH!! But it looks like we can stay with the one we have this year even tho they are not offering it, as we'd be "grandfathered" in. That one has a monthly charge of $13, so it's kind of a no-brainer! The deductible increased substantially over this year, but my 2 meds are Tier Ones, so that does not affect me. Unfortunately, Jim will use his, but it still beats the other plans by a mile!

Bill - the Jones Beach 2022 show? Yeah, he sounded great! [smilie=superkewl.gif]

Rabbitz - cool photos! Getting out there before the summer heat looks like a good plan! [smilie=coolup.gif]

Larry - yeah... a CC is not cash... but I guess he just wanted to pay for each round and not run a tab.

In other news... I have finally come to the conclusion that I need to replace my phone. I saw a Pixel 11 512gig on Prime Day deals, so I went to T-Mobile to see if they could match it (or at least come close). The rep there said to order it because they don't even have the 512 and their price on the 256 was $300.00 more :o He promised to set it up for me the same way he would a phone purchased at the store. Wish me luck tomorrow when I go back... assuming Amazon makes good on the next day delivery that is!

I shall be having that conversation soon as well. My Rep has already warned me, be prepared for some changes that won't necessarily be advantageous

Look at it this way Tammy, Come Monday you'll be on Holiday doing Boatdrinks & livin' Floridays! Hopeful for you that the Changes in Latitudes & Changes in Attitudes will lead you to a Lone Palm where you'll be able to get your Fins up!

If there's no surcharge for using CC's I'll often pay the bill with the CC but tip in cash

Often I'm seeing where the CC fee is built into your regular tab price, then you get discounted if you pay with cash. I guess it sounds more "friendlier" to the customer that way in [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif] .

Afternoon all! :) Zoom call went fine, and she's sending the recording to all who attended. :)

Thank you for the music, Mr. SPH. One of my favorite songs. :D

Rabz, the property is beautiful!! And is that the 'puppy'?? :o

Elaine, my Advantage plan is with United Health Care (which I've had several times in my life) and it's going from $59 per month to $60.45, so not much of a change. ALL (6) of my medications are Tier 1, so I pay nothing for any of them. :D Good luck with the phone stuff!!

Afternoon Ken and Bill!! :)
