October's final FRIDAY @ THE MSC

Hello Everyone1
Woke up to a beautiful day. Weather should be great so we may head to the beach.
I slept in too late to get ready for 9:15 chair yoga.
Last night we went with friends to a restaurant/bar on the waterfront. "Dead Dog Saloon" has good food and awesome bands. Every square inch of wall space is covered with donated pictures of dogs that have passed on. Last night's entertainment was "Julio & the Saltines". They are a cover band for a large part of our era of music. They are fantastic! It was crowded and loud but that was OK with us.
Not much else going to today.
Enjoy today !

Good morning Linda and BN!
It's a chilly one out there, just upper 30's. Weather for tomorrow for the kids/adults is supposed to be a nice one.
Gonna do a load of laundry, and continue to work on a puzzle. This one's a hard one, cause many of the pieces are the same colors.
Have a good Friday, boys and girls.

Good morning Linda and Penny.
The NY Islanders played last night and the game went into overtime. Matthew Schaefer played the entire overtime again, but this time it was only 31 seconds. He scored the game winning goal.
The Hurricanes also played last night and they won 3-2. One of their goalies is Russian, he played last night. He speaks English but not as fluently as a lot of the European players. They interviewed him after the game and asked him how he was able to win, he said "the guys scored 3 goals". His record so far is 9-0 and they asked about the winning streak, he said "the team is playing good". A man of few words.

Ugh.... the end of October and here in the Upper LH Corner we're back to sunset before 6:00 pm (and before 5:00 on Sunday).
Sunset will be as early as 4:17 pm before the Winter Solstice starts turning thngs around. I hate living in the dark....
Other than that, I got nothing to say.

Hey pholks!
We had a Halloween party at work today. Always interesting seeing what people come up with for costumes.
I’ve been listening to a lot of Americana lately. Guy Clark, Jerry Jeff Walker, John Prine, Townes Van Zandt, and plenty of Jimmy. I’ve also been revisiting some of the older Buffett albums, which is always a reminder of just how good he could be when he was firing on all cylinders.
God, those early records were something else. The songwriting, the arrangements, the characters, the storytelling. Then there’s some of the later stuff... Oh well.
Hope everybody has a great Friday and don’t find any razor blades in their Snickers tomorrow. Fins up!

Good afternoon Campers. Putting a bow on the workday (here at the office anyway). Good amount of sunshine happening right now & not much of a breeze, good for doing some leaf raking. Last night when I got home I "mulched" some leaves with the mower but it's too thick in the remaining areas to do that. Suppose I should pick up some more bags to put them in. Don't think I have enough at home right now to finish the job. Then again, maybe I'll use that as a crutch to NOT finish the job & hope the remainder blow away

Nah, truth be told there will still be more to come down

Have been to the Dead Dog for entertainment a couple times. Great place & definitely had a crowd the times we were there. Really enjoy the Marshwalk. The 4/5 times we've been down to Surfside we always make a trip down to Murrells Inlet. Haven't been down there since 2016. Dang, just doesn't seem THAT long ago.
Enjoy your last couple days of Rocktober everyone!

If the early sunsets start getting to you... I have this advice: Go north, young man!
BC opted into year-round DST!

Hi there! A friend had hip surgery 3 weeks ago and entered the diner we attend doing a little dance with his cane. I sang Putting On The Ritz.

Hiya Brad!!

There's no arguing that Jimmy's stuff is special.

Hi Elaine, if you're still around.
I did a load of laundry. Hung stuff up that wasn't supposed to be in the dryer.
Cameron did some heavy grocery shopping, and he asked if I could give him a ride home, which I did.
Got my mail and there was a new UHC debit card, so I worked on activating that ($60 in OTC stuff), and found that I still had $60 from this year, so I bought some vitamins and supplements. The gal (online) who helped me get my address changed (I did, but it wasn't my 'primary' address) was AMAZING, kind, and so sweet. She was studying for her Merchant Naval test this weekend. There was also a piece of mail from the Marine Corps for insurance, so I printed out a copy of the death certificate and will mail it tomorrow.
Made a SMALL dent in this puzzle: It's the upper right one.

Upper left I finished. Lower right, had edge pieces missing.

(but it was $20 for 4 puzzles).

Off to the couch to watch DU vs. Omaha hockey.

My tickets are only for Saturday games. See you tomorrow.
