Anyone have a favorite Sangria recipie?
I'm looking for a solid recipie for homemade sangria. Any takers?

I used this one last summer.....made one batch with red wine and one batch with white.....it was GOOD!
INGREDIENTS:
1 Bottle of your favorite white wine (This recipe is just as delicious with a good red wine, if you so choose)
1 Lemon cut into wedges
1 Orange cut into wedges
1 Lime cut into wedges
1 Peach cut into wedges
1 Cup sliced strawberries
1/2 Cup lemonade or limeade
1/2 Cup Sugar
2 shots of apricot, peach or "berry" flavored brandy (I used Peach Schnapps)
2 Cups ginger ale (I used Sprite)
Optional: one can of diced pineapple pieces with juice
Pour wine in the pitcher and squeeze the juice wedges from the lemon, orange and lime into the wine. Toss in the fruit wedges (leaving out seeds if possible) and add sliced peaches, strawberries limeade/lemonade, sugar and brandy.
Chill overnight
Add ginger ale just before serving

Thought I would update and let you know how things went.
I chose a gallon (or three liters...whatever the big glass jug is with a handle
of red wine. It was the cheap stuff--came from New York.
A bottle (375 mL) of cheap brandy. Didn't go for the fifth.
7 Oranges
5 lemons.
1/2 cup of sugar.
We thinly sliced the fruit, mixed everything together, and let sit for 24 hours in the fridge (okay, we snuck two or three glasses before it was done soaking). I must say, it was almost perfect. I would change something up next time, just to try something new (perhaps a fifth of brandy, or maybe some different fruit), but it definitely did the trick!
Thanks for the help everybody!

That sounds GOOD and much easier than slicing/chopping a lot of fruit!12vmanRick wrote:Sangria

I did this recipe for my wife's surprise birthday party this weekend. It got very high marks and several requests for the recipe. Used red wine, peach brandy, lemonade and ginger ale. I left out the strawberries.pbans wrote:I used this one last summer.....made one batch with red wine and one batch with white.....it was GOOD!

I leave Out the Sugar.. Cut up Lemons. Limes, and Oranges..
I pour out some of the sangria from the jug shove it in
Then Pour about a cup of Brandy and about a half a cup of Everclear in the bottle as well. Then Let it sit in the frige for 3-4 days Before consuming.. Never had any leftovers.
