The "Perfect" Cup of Coffee....

Post by Bfan53 »

I simply must have a cup of coffee first thing in the morning. This is not a negotiable item..... :o

I love to grind whole beans and have been through all of the flavors at the local supermarket and gourmet shops. I just want to try something different. I've been searching online and, like most online searches, I'm overwhelmed by the choices & prices.

Any of you BNers buy your coffees online? If so, can you suggest the merchants you purchase from & blends you drink?

Any help would be appreciated in my quest for the "perfect" cup of coffee! :pirate: Feel free to suggest your preferred coffee makers, too.

We order online from www.coffeeam.com. My favorite is the Jamaican Blue Mountain Blend. (can't afford anything other than the blend). We've ordered the Kona Blend too. They wait and roast the beans after you order it. The UPS guy always tells me how good it smells when he delivers it and says he doesn't drink coffee.
Wishing every month of the year could be June

I had Kona in Maui and it was fantastic.

We are from Canada and each time I am in the States (monthly) I buy Half Caf Starbucks from Target. It is less than half the price as Starbucks in Canada and here you can't get the half caf.
I use a Hamilton Beach Brewsavor. LOVE IT!! This is our second.

Jamaica Blue Mountain and BAD Ass Coffee Co. Kona 100% are my favorite. Kona, you can choose light, medium or dark roast. I go with medium and add more if I want the extra gusto.

Hi Connie,
Thanks for your favorite, too. Now that you mention that web site I think another friend of mine also mentioned it as well. It's been added to my list! :pirate:

The perfect cup of coffee comes from the Sunoco station around the corner from my house, every morning. They kindly give it to the local volunteer firefighters, like myself, for free. I always ask them which pot is the oldest, because for me the perfect coffee has been sitting in the pot steaming for about an hour....

Yeah, I know, I'm weird.

I buy my coffee at the bike shop.

No, really.

Weird? Nah......sometimes it isn't just the coffee! I have many friends who have served as volunteer firemen over the years. Thanks to you and all who serve in this important community service.

Lately I have enjoyed a Breakfast Blend of Folgers and I USUALLY like very robust blends.

I always make a cup at a time with a Black and Decker Brew N Go, except I never go anywhere. :)

I always use one T Ghirardelli unsweetened cocoa.

Splenda

and 2% milk to make a huge mug. I'll have to switch to a more robust when I make iced coffee.

i have been getting 2 lbs of Gevalia coffee (whole bean) every 10 weeks for a long time. Lately we have had a lot of guests (Or I have been drinking more coffee) so I frequently supplement my stash with some loose whole bean Kona (blend) from the grocery store. I think the blend, which is probably not more than 15% real Kona, tastes as good a the Gevalia I have been drinking for years. Grocery store coffeee costs about $7/lb, Gevalia somewhat more. But I do like having someone deliver it, and my mailman is a good guy.

You could, or I could just hand deliver it to you in June.

Jeanie,

My cousin from Atlanta is absolutely convinced that these presses make the best cups of cofffee. I've never tried to use one, but think it may be my next coffee-related purchase!!
